  1. I agree Cleggy hasn't yet mastered P'bro - but Joshie P. is worth the money round there!!
  2. Yep I would certainly have gone to see the maestro ** King's backside 3 times if I didn't have a prior engagement. Even if the racing is crap I just love watching Cookie make it look so easy while others are killing themselves pulling big lockers.
  3. Crikey - must be the Cookie effect!! Won't be there myself - the bright lights of Londinium beckon instead.
  4. A guest for a rider who has not even ridden yet? Jeez. I see oystercard has suddenly recovered some form. Quite handy timing.
  5. Yes I saw the Redcar lineup. Hope they can get a few souls to turn up.
  6. Had a look there but couldn't see the tweet concerned.
  7. Couldn't give a damn myself!! Had a few seasons to make it big over here...................... but didn't. Same as I have no interest in Aaron Fox coming back.
  8. Pleased you got something out of it. But the average Joseph Le Public probably doesn't or care much about the preparation or workings of a speedway bike and just wants to see what for him looks like entertaining racing. Yes it was a decent hard race between Smiler and Rory though it seemed to me it was because Ricky got stuck in some deep stuff in turn 2 which allowed Rory to make his move on Sam, much to Sam's surprise, and Sam was always in the wrong place/ on the wrong line thereafter. Generally though every race was decided by turn 2 lap 1, just like most races seem to be across the country nowadays. Surely the sport should be more for us uneducated masses rather than the petrol/spanner heads?
  9. Are you forgetting that Berwick have Alfie Bowtell, Ben Morley and someone call RR in the team? If Smiler had 15 rides they might get close to a point I suppose.
  10. Sue of course you have a choice - family always trumps speedway. Presumably Mike Bacon will be doing his twittering so don't have a conscience or anything about missing this. And if anyone even thinks about moaning then let them start doing some updates. You do so much for the non-attending public already.
  11. The trouble is that the racing at Ippo has got worse year by year. And if I was going to shell out my shekels I would want to see some decent racing between well matched proper strength teams. Yes there MIGHT be some decent races tonight - having Smiling Sam as a guest will help in that respect, but to be honest I would far rather he was not riding but was conserving some energy for his real team tomorrow. But I just think that if Edinburgh managed to get humped last week (albeit only in 3 races), then Berwick are likely to be on the end of a worse battering tonight and the prospect of Alfie Bowtell maybe trying too hard and coming off in each race just does not appeal. And of course r/r in operation will bring more delays. No matter how much Dick Barrie tries to dress things up, this is not an appetising fixture given the makeup of the Bandits team. Having watched Ippo knock up an easy 60 points against them earlier in the season, there is no reason to believe tonight will be much better for Berwick toninght. Interesting that only 1 of the previous Berwick team will actually be riding toning and 4 of the previous Ippo lot. So as a neutral I will save my cash and my fuel, maybe for another day.
  12. Much as I love to watch our guys race, i.e. Sam & Jye, there is no way on earth I am going to Ippo to watch this. Speedway is kidding itself on if it thinks this a credible way to run things 3 guests and an r/r. The cash stays in my wallet and will Baldyman's I expect. 60++ to Ippo - <30 for Berwick.
  13. I see we have now sneaked in at the bottom - why the change of heart?
  14. But when was his last day jenga? And how many teams have dropped him in the last 2/3 seasons?? Redcar / Sheffield / Panters / Berwick / any others? Yes he scored ok at Berwick so maybe he can get that form back.................. or maybe not. Admire him for keeping coming back for more though.
  15. Wow - I'm astounded!! I thought Hall was at least 10 years older than 32!! But he's spent £1000 on his equipment so that's all good.
  16. Rafa Konopka would be a better choice! 😉😉 And yes I know Rafa would be on a 4 as well!
