I wasn't there so can't say. But they were 6 up at one stage so can't have been that bad. I still think Ippo are a strong team. And for all their supposed weakness at reserve, Mountain managed to stay on board all night and the reserves scored 9+2 between them compared to our 10+2 (of which paid 10 were the walk-overs).

But a lot of folk don't like the idea of the play-offs and prefer a straight league system. So for them the season is over too? But there are always winners and losers in any system. Don't think the top 4 setup is why folk are not attending in great numbers. Plenty of bigger reasons.

But one of them had an ef; another had a fall and an ef; and the other had seen his bruv carried off in an ambulance.

That's a bummer. It'll probably be rained off though so no worries. Your season is becoming as bad as ours was last year.

Dunno what forecast you were looking at but the BBC one for Armadale yesterday said ................ 14.00 thick cloud 14 15.00 light cloud 14 16.00 thick cloud 14 17.00 thick cloud 15 18.00 thick cloud 15 19.00 thick cloud 15 20.00 thick cloud 16 21.00 thick cloud 15 22.00 thick cloud 15 So no rain forecast at all - so they watered it I believe and then it rained.

Erik's fall was nothing to do with the track. His steel shoe came off causing him to fall. Same as Kyle Newman at ippo the other week. The track has been made more grippy as requested by the riders but the rain last week and again yesterday caused the track to be more tricky. But the good riders cope with these things - witness Sam's overtakes last night and Erik's second fastest time of the season in heat 5 last night.

Grippo all round then. Assuming you ever have another home meeting that is!

Strange ippo were struggling with the track so much given how grippy foxholes is. Would have thought Newman & Heeps were experienced enough to have been able to stay on the bikes in heats 14 & 8? Can appreciate all the younger / less experienced ones on both sides struggling a bit cos they don't see grip often these days. Certainly were 2 massive (!!) heats. Oh well you'll just have to thump the Weegies instead!

Such a pity that the track has been made very tricky by rain 2 weeks running. Could /should have been a showpiece. But both teams seemed to be trying to give it away with falls and engine failures. Hope Mark Riss makes a speedy recovery.

We might be weaker with Cleggy back in the 1-5 compared to Joshie!!

It was not good - but not sure it was the worst this year - I try to blot out bad memories!!

We have 4 d/up and 2 d/down BUT we have priority with all of them I think - 5 are our own assets. I think Ippo have 5 d/up and 1 d/down and one d/up who's lost his up. Dunno about priorities though.

We do tend to win (at least) 2 trophies a season in our good years so it's the same with threads!!

So was the draw against us the last time you guys raced a complete match?

Shame you guys seem to have packed up. Kept it quiet though. You hoping to get all the points awarded so that you can cruise through unbeaten from now on?

Can you believe that there really are 7 signed riders lining up against 7 signed riders tonight!! Is this the first fixture anywhere that it's happened this season? Well done to the Monarchs and Ippo. No guests / no NL guests / no R/R, just a regular 7 against a regular 7. Just hope and pray there is no need for any IR/R tonight. And maybe even Capn Jack Hawkins will put in an appearance as team manager for Ippo!! Should be a helluva night's racing between the best 2 teams in the league. Haven't got a clue who will win - there's a case for both sides. But I just hope it's our good guys!!

Hard to argue with much of that. He let himself get wound up by Benjamin!!
