I'm sure a number of us would be happy to make up his pay packet in return!
-
Interesting tweet from Sedgy. I wonder who got the BSPA to check the rules!
-
Only if you read them.
-
No way. I won't give Louise & Hawking a penny more than I have to. Hope the Weegies hit 50.
-
Total of both? And try to use the total of the two being replaced. Using the wrong points limit? Not knowing the rules? Who knows.
-
Tungate & jacobs I hear. No wait - it's Sedgy & mountain. Ooops.
-
Sedgy & mountain reinstated Splitting my sides now. Ippo management must be the BSPA in disguise. Hope Sedgy keeps reducing his average.
-
Would split my sides if he was.
-
I'll probably balance you out then baldyman. I might turn up to give the Weegies some support but probably not many more.
-
We all would have had him back any time. But the rest of the team has been scoring so well - as was seen at Ippo on Thursday. No problem in you dropping him - just the timing.
-
Neither do you. But I'd be pretty sure there was no contract pay-off. Just dumped with no chance of another job because of the timing. Sorry - but that stinks.

So were Ippo going to break the news to Segy after the match at Glasgow? By text on his way home maybe? -
The sport's got to change - contracts must mean contracts and proper notice periods need to be brought in or payment made to buy out the agreements. Maybe Auty will sort him out and show his the back wheel - in the nicest possible way of course!!
-
That was the point I was making. If Sedgy has been left with only a few hours to find another club - Peterboroughesque. Folk feel he has been under-performing for weeks so a change could have been made a while ago.
-
Peterboroughesque.

Deary me. Deary deary me. To hell in a handcart.

Give over!

Sorry Mr. hut - I couldn't for the life of me remember what they were called!! Very nice though!! And yes multiple generations of the Newman clan all in the same place!! -
Should have gone the whole hog and made it like the chariot racing in the Circus Maximus. As per this from thegreatcoursesdaily.com...................... Generally, the format would be to have 12 chariots racing in teams. There were four teams, often called factions, which were identified by their colors: blue, green, red, and white. The fans followed the team color more than they followed the individual drivers or horses, similar to modern sports. If you had 12 chariots racing, that would mean you would have three chariots from each team that would be fielded for a typical race. The chariots would break out of the starting gates at the one end. In the Circus Maximus, there were 12 starting gates, and the chariots would come out with the drivers wrapped up in leather and with their team colors on. They would do the circuit of the circus seven times, seven laps being required to complete the race. The most popular seats were at the curved end of the bullet shape of the arena, since that is where most of the crashes took place. The slang for a chariot crash in Roman times was a “shipwreck.” They liked to watch the shipwrecks, tangled masses of horses and drivers and wood, that would career off the corner. Of course, rules were pretty much minimal. You could whip and lash your opponents and try to pull them out of their chariots if that is what you wished. These were violent spectacles, not just spectacles of skill and entertainment.

I think lunatic team pairings may have played a part in a couple of those did they not? And the really difficult track at Armadiddle where some of your guys didn't use the head about how to ride it. Sorry Sue - should have looked out for you at the beginning and given you some provisions!! -

IF Smiler's bike hadn't given up at the beginning of heat 5 but he had gone on to win it - a fair assumption since it was only against Mr. Heeps and Sedgy and he then beat Rory twice and Danking twice, we wouldn't have been able to use the joker. Then if all the other races had gone the way they did, we would have won by 2 not 1 !! And if I had been ref, Danking would have been kicked out of the meeting for the biggest flier I have seen in my life - apart from the flier he got against us last year that cost us points. Babs was more lenient and only gave him a gentle talking to!! But even then he tried it again in the rerun but not so outrageously. Made Erik & Ricky's starts look like they waited for the tapes to rise and count to 5!! -

Yes that's how I timed it too!! Was all he needed though. It does highlight the crapness of the sport that there aren't big 2 minute countdown clocks on the centre green for everyone to see.. Would add a bit more drama to the occasion at times. And I didn't see any track work being done on the starting area (apart from by the riders) so that was all good.
