  1. I think most of the Ippo team can ride the Dale very well. Just needs the likes of Heeps to get his form back and for Ellis to fill his boots again and we could be in for a surprise. Ippo are not Glasgow!!
  2. I can actually see Ippo winning this one. They are nothing like as bad as is being made out.
  3. They were perfect. (Still are in fact!) But my post was in response to the one before it (from Fred) which was asking why the meeting was abandoned given that there had been passing and repassing in heat 8!!
  4. Matchless had a speedway engine back in the sixties. Bill Landels of Edinburgh was a works rider for them. It was pretty crap though!!
  5. I don't think we should let them endanger their health & safety without a clear statement of what the problems were and that they have been rectified. Are they getting a discount because they are more likely to stand up for queenie's song?
  6. Abandoned after 8 heats. Lykke must be relieved - he was in 5 of them!!
  7. Glasgow being hammered according to Speedway Updates............ Glasgow Tigers = 15 1. Kevin Wolbert R 2. Dimitri Berge R/R 3. Mark Lemon F, 3 4. Theo Pijper 3, 2* 5. Rusty Harrison 3 6. Kasper Lykke Nielsen 2, 1 7. Anders Thomsen 1, Fx = 1 Withdrawn Rye House Rockets = 145 1. Edward Kennett 3, 0 2. Luke Bowen 2*, 1 3. Jason Bunyan 2 4. Steve Boxall 1* 5. Matt Tresarrieu 2 6. Glasgow deserve some better luck. But on a brighter note, Lemon has won a race with Kennett last!!
  8. Good luck in the exams from me too. Your constant team permutations were a wee bit annoying for a while but I then tuned into the fact that you are a statistically minded kind of lad. Nowt wrong with that at all. Far better than some of the know-alls that populate the EL forum, particularly around the south coast area!! Study hard and do your best in the exams.
  9. Interesting review PC. I have to say the team manager was very poor when Plymouth were at Peterborough recently if it's the same guy.
  10. That's a strong Plymouth team. Monarchs first defeat coming up. Certainly weaker without Max.
  11. Wouldn't be so bad if it was at the end of the meeting - we could leg it if we were quick enough. But the damn dirge is at the beginning of it - just after we have sat down!
  12. Err but if Lambert gets a proper average the PL conversion would be about a 9. You want to swap Schramm for a 9 pointer??
  13. His scores in the PL have been pretty missable!
  14. But once he gets an EL average (soon I assume) surely that needs to go through the conversion to get to a PL one?
  15. Even if the BSPA changed the rules for Lambert, surely the multiplier would work against him. I don't know his current average - say it's 5.5 for argument's sake. That would convert to a PL average of over 9. Even if they took his current assessed 3.00, that would give him an equivalent of a 5.0 in PL terms. So how could Newcy ever get him on a 3?
  16. Did well enough to get the track record at Peterborough last week.
  17. Tracks were certainly graded after every race in my younger days. Meetings certainly didn't take any longer to finish either.
