  1. Should be another decent evening though Glasgow look a touch light with Pavlova still at #1. 6 points are critical for Panthers but I don't see them getting the full house. Weather looks fine for the evening but maybe a bit chilly by curfew time!! Hope Dryml has fully recovered.
  2. Don't think I ever mentioned who owned Stevie's contract. I just mentioned his PL club who have priority of fixtures since he only signed to his EL club mid-season and obviously doesn't ride for them. And I didn't realise Dak had max'ed last night - thought it was Nick Morris.
  3. Certainly would if you took out the maximum men and gave them back to their PL clubs!!
  4. What happened to superstar Garrity (well a superstar according to the gruesome twosome on the telly)? Beat Greaves twice and Hansen once. And don't let anyone tell me Cookie is the roller king - Sarjeant completely outranks him in that respect!! 5 rides - 5 rollers wasn't it?
  5. Doubt it. Might do ok at home - would get mullered away.
  6. Unless the weather steps in I don't expect Newcy to hold on to 6th place. Panthers deffo need to beat Worky tomorrow and pick up the 3 home wins by Sunday to get to 39 points which would make it all very interesting. Probably won't pick up a point at Plymouth but you never know. Worky are unlikely to get anything from the away trips to Berwick and Somerset so they need to get 6 points from their double header with Sheffield to also get to 39 points. But it has been know to rain in the north west!!
  7. Probably all academic anyway - doubt he should come back that quickly - and unlikely Peterborough will still have any fixtures left!!
  8. Need to hope Peterborough finish ahead of Worky so that I can get to see it!! Peterborough are certainly not the team that busted our unbeaten record.
  9. Swindon had better hope that Stevie Worrall has recovered well enough. Withdrawn after a first race crash at Edinburgh on Friday and missed the massacre at the Rye House corral on Saturday.
  10. Wouldn't fancy Ippo in our group so hope we can top the list at the cut-off and leave that hot potato for Somerset!!
  11. No track grading at all during the meeting last night. Is this normal at Rye nowadays? Does it save money? Have to say in fairness though the track seemed to ride well all evening. Mostly gate & go but maybe Monarchs were just too sharp from the gate? Cookie was very fast. Untroubled all night - made it interesting in 1 heat by letting the Rye boys gate first then picking them off with nonchalant ease. Kennett wasn't. Pretty dire all night when I had expected him to score nearly a max. Sam Masters rode some great second bends. Max Fricke was steady but unspectacular apart from his pass on Kennett. Justin Sedgmen again steady and unspectacular. Deek did better than I expected. Still slow but kept to his lines and picked up a decent score though I think his slowness resulted in Bowen catching Aaron Fox on the last bend in heat 2. And Foxy rode very well - gated well and rode with aggression. Promising. Much better than Dilger!! Garrity showed some fight (the right kind this time!). Won his races comfortably when he gated though it kinda looked like Monarchs were happy to fill the next places rather than give chase. Bowen likewise showed some good spirit. Boxall?? Must be a nightmare having him in your team. How many did he score at Redcar? And then he produces this crap. Even Aaron Fox beat him comfortably. Barrett - what can I say? Absolute pants. Greenwood tried hard but he was so much better on my previous visit to Rye when he was with Peterborough. What a dismal place Rye is nowadays. Could hardly hear the PA on the first bend. No atmosphere at all. Crowd looked better than I expected but not great. Spirally downwards.
  12. Deek's big scores have been in the past for quite a while now.
  13. I too think Rye will win this unfortunately. Maybe we'll nick a point. Rye's reserves will murder ours. And with Stevie missing or second hand Rye's heat leader strength will be too much unless Boxall rides to his average rather than his ability.
  14. I don't dispute that Hall isn't as good as he was 8 years ago. My point is that he was averaging virtually 7 last season, albeit including bonus, and over 7 the year before. Even at the start of this season his average prior to the ban was just under 7. So, given he was coming to a track he had shown he could ride, the risk shouldn't have been that great. The fact that he is averaging under 3 for Peterborough is shocking. He's not someone I would have ever chosen to have in my team, but you can kinda see where the management were coming from in trying to stiffen up their home record.
  15. You leave Mr Masters (https://twitter.com/Sudden_sam33) out of this!!
  16. Better than Aaron Fox at 2 though so you are stronger than last night!!
