  1. Tough to get a guest at this time of the year. Most teams have packed up for the season.
  2. Does he sing or play a musical instrument? Any support acts?
  3. I wouldn't waste my keyboard going there!! I'm happy to go anywhere I can see good racing so Peterborough and Mildenhall are my local favorites. Certainly won't waste my petrol going to Lakeside!!
  4. But the costs would be a multiplier higher. And as far as top flight racing is concerned, yes the "E"L is the highest ranked league in the country but the standard is barely top flight any more, especially with nearly 30% of the riders in each team being NL wobblers and a large % of the others being PL doublers.
  5. Nope. But Ippo is reasonably close to me so I'd be able to see it. Somerzet is the other side of the country and I wouldn't be able to get there. Simples.
  6. Edinburgh are pretty good at scheduling their double headers. Unlike Peterborough where the best they managed in 3 attempts was 28 heats. I suppose the races take slightly less time at Armadale!!
  7. Interesting that Edinburgh had covers on their track last Friday. Are they the only set in the whole UK and did Swindon claim next use of them?
  8. Programme's no worse value that Rye's £2 for 16 pages one.
  9. 1 point is enough. Ippo should be capable of that but I don't see them doing it. #breakingglass
  10. Really? I must say I thought there looked to be fewer panels on turn 1 than usual but since I've never counted them I assumed I was imagining it.
  11. Horton was there? I'm surprised. Fair play to those making the speeches then.
  12. Youngsters rode well - good speed and some good styles. Not too convinced about pitting 125's against 150's though.
  13. Not an Ippo fan in any shape or form but I like Chris Louis. Think he puts on a decent show and puts out decent teams.
  14. Hope for 2015 now is............ Panthers to be running on a Sunday afternoon (3pm start) so that lunch can be had in the Cuckoo beforehand!! Just need a promoter/owner now.
  15. Good result for the boys. Just hope we can finish the job on Friday - 2nd meetings of double headers are always a risk for the home side. I thought the atmosphere seemed a bit flat compared to previous meetings - maybe the gravity of Peterborough's situation was partly the cause? Two or three decent heats but not as many as recently. The track seemed to have a bit less grip than usual but rode well. Of the guests, Lawson didn't match the scoring that Bjerre would have given, but Kurtz put in a decent shift for paid 12 so not too far off Dryml's potential score. R/R scored 4 so probably a point more than Hall would have got!! Panthers' reserves scored paid 13 between them - all bar 1 against Monarchs's reserves (the other was Barrett ahead of Kurtz)!! Barrett actually looked quite useful, especially on the tight line round turns 1&2 - just proving my point that he might get double figures!! Just needed a 7th ride!! For Monarchs, Justin, Cookie & Sam were on another level, especially Justin. Just gave up the last heat 5-1 to save themselves for the bigger challenges ahead!! Max wasn't really making the starts but was trying hard, though was unlucky with bike problems. Ditto Stevie, though he came through from the back well in heat 14. The reserves were poor, especially so since Panthers' reserves are amongst the weakest in the league. Derek was maybe unlucky to drop it on turn 3 lap 4 of heat 3 whilst a comfortable 2nd. Maybe his wrist injury contributed to this or his form in the other races? Great to meet Scotchopper, Scotland1314 and John a friend of his. Great stadium, great result, great weather, great company - what more could you ask for!! (And if you are looking for a great pub - the Cuckoo in Alwalton is superb - thanks to John for the recommendation!!
  16. Well our reserves haven't been quite on the gas recently! Just hope everyone keeps out of oystercard's way when he goes blasting round the boards and bouncin off the bouncy castle!!
