Brummie - you are probably the only one on the whole thread who thinks you should reward cheating with another bite at the cherry. In my book you should reward the team that was on the receiving end of the cheats. I hope Asprin was fined heavily - I have heard that fines are not announced in case it encourages fans to have a whip round. I wouldn't like to see him riding for any of my teams in the future.

Happy retirement to the Deek man. Always a wholehearted trier popping up with some great rides. And fantastic at generating team spirit. Must not be lost to the sport. I had the pleasure if watching him knock up 16(?) points in a match at Ippo last season. Sensational!

I haven't seen the final figures but Cookie has knocked up a huge number of bonus points for a number 1 - more than one a match. Because he has been happy to let his partners Sedgy and Smiler take wins while he keeps the rabble behind. Certainly can't say the same for Steady. So with bonus, I would expect Cookie to be comfortably number 1 in the League. But at the end of the day Monarchs have had the near perfect season because they have been a TEAM not a group of individuals. Every one of them has chipped in with points at critical times. Can we be allowed to be smug all winter please?

It's all a matter of ifs buts and maybes. But both teams have had great seasons. Just a pity that injuries kicked in for both sides, the same as they hit us in the final last year.

I think Cameron Heeps would do well for Monarchs next year.

Certainly going to be tough for Monarchs. 12 points to make up plus the probable heat 2 deficit plus the effect of any joker rides. Could make it as much as 20 points to overturn but probably not that many.
