  1. How about a VIP club? Pay a hundred quid or whatever and get a special area in the stand, a special parking area, a couple of centre green visits and anything else they want to throw in which wouldn't cost them anything or anything much. Still pay normal entrance fee per match.
  2. I admire your efforts! Wish you had shown the aways as well!! I hadn't realised foxy had scored so well but he didn't score well away. Plenty of other teams had reserves scoring better especially away from home.
  3. Weak reserves for the last 4 months of the season!
  4. Disproved this......... "You don't win anything in speedway unless you have one reserve knocking the points in. "
  5. A 9 point rider has on average dropped 3 points in a meeting, or 4 assuming he does heat 15s. So why is he then likely to be lapping other PL riders? I don't remember any FTR riders being lapped by EL second strings this year and there was a big skill gap down to the most wobbly of FTRs. I'm not suggesting gp riders should be in the PL, but I see No problem with the likes of Cook, Stead, King etc being there. The biggest problem is them doubling up and fixture conflicts.
  6. DON'T look if you are squeemish!!! Pic of his leg - http://instagram.com/p/tU7JSQTFIq/
  7. It used to be good. But it was "Elite" then!! (Though in fairness my abiding memory at Ippo was there were very frequently 2 races per heat - heat leaders up front battling it out followed a quarter of a lap later by a pair of second strings. It seemed to be more watchable at Peterborough.) Should get some abuse for this!!
  8. Superstars should of course be allowed in the PL. They draw people in to watch and set a benchmark for others to try to reach. Certainly shouldn't be forced into the EL - a shambolic place where you stand a fair chance of not getting paid.
  9. I suppose the racing might still have been better than what you see at home.
  10. Craig Cook - Ipswich - 56.3 - 16 October 2014. Ya beauty!
  11. Nah - only increased by 1.49!! (Had a great season though.)
  12. Moi - smug?!! Why Somerset in particular? (Serious question.) Why were Newcy in it this year?
  13. Sounds a goer. We've all got fed up with the springy thing so a different trophy to win would be SO exciting!!
  14. How does this work? Do Monarchs race themselves? Or against the KO runners up? Or the League Cup runners up?
  15. Far too soon to think about a 2015 Monarchs team.
  16. Not sure how you are going to force British reserves to sign for Scottish teams. It's hard enough getting any Brits to do the travelling on a regular basis.
  17. Well I voted for Sedgy and I don't think that was wide of the mark at all. I dunno what his final figure will be but he started on a sub-5 point average in the reserve berth and despite riding in the difficult number 2 slot behind Cookie (well he actually finished ahead of him a lot of the time!!) he still ended up with over 7 and a quarter. He would have been a heat leader everywhere bar Ippo, Newcy and Somerzet with that average. And he must have knocked up around 70 bonus points on top which would have taken him up way into the 8 plus averages.
  18. Looks like your vote for Biggest Improver 2014 was about right!!
  19. He must be as ready as Lambert was this season.
  20. Two times - nice to hear it. I also seem to have in my head a picture of Adam Ellis sitting it out in the LC Final at Ippo!! That was awarded as a 5-1 to the Monarchs as well - probably happened same bend / same lap as yesterday. But hey it was only heat 12 so is that better? So the refs must love us. Or playing possum is becoming more of a regular occurrence nowadays. If so then the refs have to stamp it out and what better way than by awarding the race.
  21. Think it was the red body colours that confused you and of course a panther is very similar to a tiger!!
