  1. But was 4.17 ever a genuine figure? And if so, on what basis? But Davies now rides at 3 tonight apparently!!
  2. I think they have taken on Will, the intern on W1A, to do the figures!!
  3. His reduction to 6.whatever is effective from Tuesday. It says his average is 7.something today.
  4. SBG website suggests Davies average is still 7.38 today and will be 6.35 on 5th May. http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/pl15_issue_5.pdf We'll have to wait and see.
  5. I've reached the peak now - Govan says I speak crap!! Irony rules ok.
  6. And Kelvin suggests Cookie is just a gating tart. I think he only made 2 decent starts last night. But good passes in the other 3. Starts have been his weakness this year (and a part of last season) - they are a bit inconsistent. And Kelvin seemed desperate to show that Cookie was rolling when out against Kerr - pity the replays showed otherwise and Kerr got the warning!! Interesting to see how Cookie gets on with Ash-Tec. He certainly has been quick at times this season.
  7. I see that Erik Riss broke his collar bone in the heat 3 post race celebration. He rode the rest of the meeting and in a meeting in Germany on Sunday before going to the hospital. Gutted for the lad.
  8. Let's hope for Govan's sake that Ippo never choose Cookie to guest (or Smilin' Sam). He would be gutted having to cheer or applaud them.
  9. Special fuel / 600cc engines. You name it the carpers have inferred it. Never to his face though.
  10. Yep scary time for him at the end of heat 15. Could have been very nasty if he had collected Brady or ulrich. Assume his throttle stuck open? Decent meeting though. Quite a few passes. Rye had too many passengers. I hadn't realised how much time Kennett spends looking behind him before today. Someone mentioned it on the BSF a couple of weeks ago.
  11. Exactly as scotchopper youngy & Al have said. Too many jealous saddo's around.
  12. Chocolate and Bovril? Not sure that combo will catch on. Very sorry to hear about Rusty - hope he is on the mend soon. Good win for worky but not a huge surprise. Hopefully won't have any impact on us qualifying. Lot of learning taking place with our bottom 3. Onwards and upwards.
  13. After last year's succession of drab one-sided local derbies, this was exactly what was required. Monarchs needed to win by more than 6 - check Tiggers needed to keep it close - check A track record (always a bonus) - check A meeting pushed through quickly - check No injuries - check Enough "what ifs" on both sides - check What's not to like? Sorry Govan (I mean Gavan) you can try to stir it but I doubt anyone will bite. You forgot to mention Sedgy blowing a motor in heat 8 when previously unbeaten.
  14. The downside of using riders where you don't have priority. Can't arrange fixtures based on a 3 point reserve's availability.
  15. Quite right Shads - I think I might have been at that Ippo v Rye meeting.
