  1. Edinburgh are always obliging. it's you lot who keep borrowing riders from EL teams that are the problem!!
  2. I'm a bit underwhelmed too. But there was hardly any choice out there. So we'll see how it works out. I wish him well.
  3. And if all goes to plan for the top 6, you won't!
  4. Might as well throw in a new 3 and 7 while you are at it. It was a bad day for the Panthers - it happens. It happened to Monarchs at Redcar (and at home to Glasgow). You get over it, congratulate the opposition and try to ensure there is some improvement next time out. Blackbird & Ostergaard haven't suddenly become bad riders. Any more than Palm Toft & Lambert S have suddenly become world beaters. Yes you will be a bit weaker if it's r/r as of Wednesday instead of a guest for Allen, but not THAT much weaker, at home anyway. Lambert R is conveniently still at no. 3 in the averages, so it's Ostergaard, Lambert R, Palm Toft & Blackbird/Lambert S to take the rides. More of a problem if Lambert R ever gets a proper average and IF it ever goes above Allen's. And Konopka was presumably suffering from bike problems all match. I noticed that Thomas Jorgensen scored the same at Newcy yesterday (a large 0) - because of bike problems. So cut Konopka a bit of slack and wait to see what he does when he's got some bikes working (which the promotion are supposed to be helping him to do).
  5. Glad I wasn't printing out this thread - not enough paper.
  6. Track was poor - very dry, slick & dusty. But the racing was better than on Wednesday. Why oh why does the kids meeting - 13 heats - go on before the PL meeting? Same happened last year and the track was poor for that PL meeting too. And the whole meeting was at a snail's pace. 7.30pm finish near enough from a supposed 5pm start. Only 1 faller - the Fish who got stuck under the fence - but that didn't add too much time to the proceedings. No-one seemed bothered about moving things along. OK it didn't start till about 5.20 but it's still far too long for 15 heats. Lucky the weather was decent. Panthers were under par throughout apart from MPT who was worth the entrance fee himself. Lucky he doesn't gate!! Devils were good value throughout with only guest Williamson slightly off the pace. Holder looks a good 'un. Amazed at Risager he came 5-6 feet off the line at times!! Scored about 8 more than I expected!! So a decent meeting and a big result for Devils. Panthers are starting to look vulnerable if Simon Lambert doesn't have a good meeting on a track with some grip.
  7. Thought he was referring to referee jack!
  8. I suppose the same way scunny could have delayed the start date of Howe going to Glesga? Or indeed maybe he is still in the panthers 1-7 till Wednesday?
  9. 15 heats run in very good time Feel very sorry for the punters though Couldn't have been much entertainment
  10. But you had Covatti at reserve, not Morris!!
  11. That's what Panthers thought!! You would be better getting a fixture change done and having Monarchs along!! Not quite firing on all cylinders atm.
  12. Tuesday crowds were poor last year so a Wednesday night wasn't going to be a sell out with it being on telly. That's why home nights this year are Friday / Sunday.
  13. Yes B Kurtz has a decent style. But the bottom line is that he scored 6 points from 5 attempts on the back of 6 points from 4 attempts at Ipswich last week. Both meetings featured a spectacular tapes demolition in his first races.
  14. According to Ollie's dad on Facebook, it was Ollie's idea to move on.
