Somerset V Edinburgh 11.8.15

You're too kind! Trouble with Erik is it takes him 3 rides sometimes 4 to weigh up a new track!! And Super Agent Kev is doing nicely now thank you. He has the occasional race where he relapses into Glasgow form but they are pretty rare. And yes Sedgy is also doing very nicely too! And you didn't mention Cookie!! (Or r/r, Rob or Cleggy!) -
Rye House V Edinburgh August 8 2015

Was disappointed that the stadium didn't seem to have changed much from the building site when I was last there near the start of the season but hopefully the big changes will take place over the winter. Was somewhat surprised to see Kennett completely vanish on turn 3 in the first race!! It was as if he had never been in the race. Is it normal that riders just go under the bouncy castle there? I accept there is probably a decent amount of grassy run-off area on the other side but I was on the first bend so couldn't tell. -

That's quite slow isn't it? Thought the track record was 56.something? Or do you mean mph? -

He hurt his shoulder and knee at Rye House on Saturday. That's the shoulder injury that caused him to miss a few weeks recently. I think the knee injury may be an aggravation of a previous injury - he had an op on it during the winter. -
Sorry - I misread the upside down writing!!

He'll (l)earn more in the PL. Mr. Ellis is the yardstick there - Lakeside & Birmingham this season and hasn't moved on as expected. Always assuming there is a PL / EL / NL / FTR next season!!

Peterborough Panthers 2015

Rafa wins every heat 2. I actually like him now. I used to have him down automatically as f/ex but he has improved a fair bit. Seems a very pleasant engaging young man too who really puts in the effort with the supporters. Can see why he's become a crowd favourite - I think he'll be one of those steady improvers. -

Not tonight I doubt. The loss of Smiler will be a step too far. And Cookie must be knackered. And Rob has aggravated his injuries. -
He'll want to stay where he is then!!
-
Why on earth would Rob want to leave the champions?

I would expect so too. -

Errr was it not commented several times during Tungate-gate that there are always crashes leaving the second bend because everyone has to grab the same couple of feet of dirt? Is it a popular track amongst supporters because there are crashes? I sincerely hope not. Same place always concerns me at Peterborough. It could do with being a couple of feet wider at that point.. -

Cookie comes from behind anywhere though - even off 15m at Dry House!! So not really the yardstick. Smiler's not so keen. -
Fair enough - I was forgetting the 7 day rule. Is he deffo available for the Newcastle match since that's a Friday? But also compare his Sunday performances between the Fours and yesterday!! Looked a completely different rider in the slick dry & dusty conditions. But not so good when it was damp and heavy.
-
Will he? How many meetings has he done? Is it 5 now? He needs to have done 4 home & 4 away by the averages cut off date - is that not 20th of the month? According to the programme there are no more Panthers fixtures until the 21st. So on that basis he should still be on a 7 through September.

Told it as it was.

PE7Panther said... By the way, I think you're wrong about "he is scoring more points than anyone else in the team". I'm prepared to stand corrected by one of the forum stattos, but I'd say Ostergaard has scored more. Don't forget that Lambert has been missing for nearly half Panthers' meetings. As per the Panthers programme, up to then even MPT, and Tall Lambert had scored more points than Small Lambert. But by a mile no-one apart from Osty got close to Guests who have a whopping 270 + 24 comparec to Small Lambert's 156 + 10. Dunno what happened to the quote there!!

Err - Sedgmen & Cook. Standards please!
