  1. Might be a dump to you - it is home to us. Count your blessings and stop being so up yourself.
  2. Perhaps the thought of losing 3 of the 4 top scorers is causing a rethink of their principles?
  3. Would still miss at least 6 Friday fixtures then? And hope there are no other fixture clashes on Thursdays for instance.
  4. At least I have been to both. And I would prefer the surroundings and company at Armadale any day. But not in mid-winter.
  5. 8th March? Bloomin heck that's still mid-winter. Why would anyone want to go outdoors at that time of the year let alone go to a dark dismal cold damp speedway stadium?
  6. I've seen Heeps go well at Rye before. But if he doesn't then that looks a poor team.
  7. testy ˈtɛsti/ adjective easily irritated; impatient and somewhat bad-tempered. "his testy, disapproving father" synonyms: bad-tempered, grumpy, ill-tempered, ill-natured, ill-humoured, dyspeptic, irritable, tetchy, irascible, peevish, crotchety, cantankerous, cross, fractious, disagreeable, pettish, crabbed, crabby, waspish, prickly, peppery, impatient, touchy, scratchy, volatile, crusty, liverish, splenetic,short-tempered, hot-tempered, quick-tempered, choleric; More Sounds spot on.
  8. Rich Rich has signed for Belle Vue so I would expect that to rule him out of Monarchs contention given the number of meetings he would miss. And of course if Belle Vue move to a Friday.......................!!
  9. I'm shaking, really shaking in my boots.
  10. I'll bite, baldyman. Not the worst or most obnoxious team around. So I might go along to Foxhole a few more times rather than making the trek to the Showground. Pity about Risager - boring with a capital B. A bit like Morris last season. But Covatti is good entertainment. And Sarjeant will be fun to watch. Not convinced about the reserves though. Key will be how Kerr has recovered. Glad Manzares, Heeps, Tungate have all gone.
  11. Yay - I can't wear the stripes!! Though I am lacking the t-shirt or jacket. Result!!
  12. As SCB has said re Castagna at Ippo.................. I agree - Showground not a great track for him - yet. Mind you Grondal wasn't much cop at Armadale - 6. Emil Grondal 1¹,1¹,0 = 2+2 but 6. Max Clegg 3,1,0,2¹ = 6+1
  13. Not deluded at all. I would certainly expect Erik to add 1 to 1.5 points on his average. He was world long track champion last year so has a pedigree. He has now been to all the tracks. And he was making heat 14 his own home and away last season. Max was going well at the end of last season. He too has seen all the tracks. But most significantly he will be riding against wobblers (including his reserve partner) in 2 or 3 races which he wasn't last season. So I would expect an increase of 2 points at least.
  14. We weren't talking about their pay scales though. Any way - show us your medals!
  15. That's easy though - they don't score any points.
  16. Plus the £150 a point and £75 a start.
  17. You are a giggle some times Gav. Dunno who Sedgeman is, but I'm sure Erik will go a decent way to filling the gap left by Justin. Between him and Max Clegg you are looking at 3 to 4 points improvement on their averages. But you carry on believing we'll struggle Gav - it'll help you dull the pain of how many trophyless years?
  18. Sedgy would be at number 1 after the first set of revised averages.
