  1. Doesn't mean the racing will be boring, especially if Scunny gate. Oh and it will never be boring when Glasgow have Harris, Vissing and Basso!
  2. This is the race when Sam Hagon was a bit unlucky not to get his first race win at Poole.
  3. First home league meeting! https://poole-speedway.com/fixtures-results/view/20230524-Poole-Pirates-v-Scunthorpe-Scorpions Teams Poole - 1 Steve Worrall (Capt) 2 Anders Rowe 3 Ben Cook 4 Zach Cook 5 Richard Lawson 6 Kyle Newman 7 Adam Roynon Team manager Neil Middleditch Scunthorpe - 1 Ryan Douglas 2 Rider Replacement for Michael Palm-Toft 3 Simon Lambert (Capt) 4 Max Clegg 5 Jake Allen 6 Nathan Ablitt 7 Connor Mountain Team manager Rob Godfrey Interesting line up switch for Scunny. Good idea to do r/r at 2. Means Dougy is in H8!!
  4. Tom Brennan, best option. I think Glasgow would be okay with it, as practice for BSN final and league meetings.
  5. Hmmm, prob just doesn't want to see Lawson after last year at Poole!!
  6. Exactly. It was 50/50. But looks like Steve was just in front when crash happened (just went to watch it again!) If he wasn't, he would have been out for sure. Also decision was made pretty quickly, so don't think ref watched any replays.
  7. It gets people's backs up after a while, fans, possibly sponsors etc. Also having to be dragged out the pits to go and celebrate a title win with rest of the riders on the bend where the fans were stood at Lynn and the medal/trophy presentation, isn't a good look. Surprised Edinburgh didn't.
  8. Yeah, seen he has had some 8-10 point scores. Though he didn't do 'bad' in the Champ last season. Was just the last 5-6 weeks. At one point he put 2 points on his average.
  9. Yes but look at his attitude. You all leave him out, now you pay for it!! He would have been back for Poole this season imo but for refusing to celebrate a title win and acting like a moody teenager. Poland definitely won't put up with that, so hopefully he'll sort it out.
  10. And that is pretty much what Steve Worrall said in his interview! But he just added Jason could have done a cutback coming out of the bend going into the straight.
  11. Yep, he was on a 4 point average i believe as he didn't do enough league meetings in 2003. Sound familar: 2004 Elite League speedway season League Sky Sports Elite League Champions Poole Pirates Knockout Cup Poole Pirates 2004 Elite League speedway season - Wikipedia
  12. Leicester are giving out free whistles to kids btw. You have been warned!
  13. I like Redcar, it is a good club. But watching the Bears rewind, I think Gavin is contradicting himself a bit. First he kept saying on Weds and Sat that Poole could just easily do well (or win) at Redcar like Redcar did at Poole. Then he says he thought they did enough at Poole (which is fair enough). But you can't have both. Which makes me think they got complacent and thought they were just going to win and go through. Scott Nicholls was the last person to underestimate Poole and didn't turn out well for Oxford either.
  14. The protected race night is killing it imo. Redcar used to ride on a Thursday, so maybe they would be okay moving up. But Oxford and Poole definitely want Weds last time I heard. Not sure of Glasgow would be happy to ride Mon or Thurs?
  15. Ha, I was too impatient and had a sneaky look!
  16. At the beginning of the meeting I meant. Most tracks the inside gates tend to be more of advantage at that point. Apart from Redcar it seems.
  17. Peterborough FB page thing? Someone put on there they heard a rumour about it.
  18. I always thought riding at 2 would be easier than 4 (not that I would know obviously!) As you have more of the inside gates. But going by last night and gate 4 being really good, maybe riding at 4 would be easier!
  19. Was going to say, could do it and Oxford could do their home meeting on the Tues like KOC. But just looked and they are at Plymouth!
  20. Is Howarth fit then? Thought he picked up a wrist injury at Oxford? Maybe not too bad then. Come back!!!
  21. Yeah Redcar are still a top 3 side, the track seemed to be just how Poole like it and are used to imo. If Hume made slightly different decisions in a couple of races could have ended up with a lot more points. Tough for him because he is now at a track with no home advantage. Bit different to Poole and Glasgow where there is one!! He has to be on it all the time. Think Connor should be at 2 imo though. Mulford will come good, I mean he is right there in most of his races. The more meetings he gets in the faster it will turn around.
  22. They actually said end of June. Which is only a week before Danish break, so maybe they might not have a meeting the week before?
