Plymouth Gladiators 2023
LisaColette replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oh yeah, forgot about that! No wonder Mike wants the team changed and Lewy has given up on posting! That is because Poole have a team for whatever limit whether it is 36, 42 or 45. So if other clubs think that by having a lower limit it will hurt Poole, it won't. There is always a plan! -
Leicester v Ipswich 8th June

I notice Ben Barker struggled last night and tonight but had a crash at Plymouth on Tues where potentially could have hurt his shoulder. Wonder if he picked up an injury? Did he get interviewed on BSN? -
Though i think Matt is still heavily involved, even subsituting as TM when needed. Not sure who does the 'signings' in the winter, prob a joint thing. @Skidder1 will know!

King's Lynn v Belle Vue 08/06/22
LisaColette replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The better question would be, would he take KL? Maybe he likes his own trainers? Might prefer Peterborough. Not that I think Ipswich will drop him anyway. -
It's June now so Tate Z might be allowed to ride soon by the doctors? Wonder if he will come over?

They are not as bad as Birmingham! -
Buster's budget prob the issue.

Not just me, Poole management say he still not 100%. But yes he did a lot better last night than he did at Plymouth. But Plymouth being a tight track prob didn't help the injury.

Still don't get why Lynn signed him in the first place. I said in the winter that it was the most random signing ever and the Aussie sun must have got to Alex's head and I stand by that comment! -

Depends if he wants to link up with his former Leicester team mates -
That's cos most of them are against Plymouth and Oxford Oxford second strings and reserves might be okay at some places but they are not too good at Poole especially JJ, not sure why he struggles at Poole so much tbh. Although track surface was a lot better last night, so if Oxford were here this week maybe he would have done better.

1. Track was definitely a lot better with the new shale on 2. Poole riders flew out of the gate most of the time, Plymouth not really had an answer for that. 3. Highlight was prob the Worrall twins banging elbows at the start of one of their races,( I mean really banging elbows and handlebars!) Steve won the battle that time btw. Also a good battle between Newman and Gilkes in H14. Barker had a good race and won comfortably in the 5-1 race to Plymouth. But that is pretty much it. Plymouth not the worst team at Poole though, once Lakeside only got 20! Silver linings and all that.. -

Yeah true and we know the sticking point for Poole is mainly the Weds night issue. The only way i can see around that is if they let Poole do Weds but if a Dane is supposed to be there for the opposition they ride on Thursday that week. I don't see any other solution. -
Maybe get MF to guest team manage as he just got Poole to 64!

Yeah i guess. Be interesting to see if anyone moves up to save the top league? Matt has got Poole the biggest home win of the season, he'll have to stay now -
Ha, i thought you talking about Batch as well. Teaches me to scan posts quickly lol

Manager Matt Ford tonight! Interesting he said everyone voted for a 40 point limit apart from Poole and Glasgow. Says a lot i think. Tempting to suggest something you don't want at AGM and then prob get something you want instead lol. -
