Prob wasn't as serious as before but there was definitely petitions at the turnstile and passed through the stands. The council wasn't massively keen on speedway like it is now.
The club nearly closed in mid 90's too, about 95ish time. I remember signing the petition to try and keep it open. It was not long after Long Eaton closed down I think.
But Wolves had actual floods the day before their meeting Starman, so I'm afraid it doesn't wash. Maybe instead of wasting thousands on call offs, it could be invested into the track prep.
Okay but as Wolves have shown you can dry a track out in 12 hours! It's just ridiculous. You are only making a deal out of this cos you are obsessed with Steve, get over your crush and move on FFS!
Yeah but 'this morning' is anything from midnight to midday so it is a bit misleading! Still how they could have people work on the track all day and not sorted it is beyond me, Wolves had worse and did it!
I've had to put up this crap from the club loads before so it's starting to grate now! Just sort of glad it got called ten mins before I left the house. I know what they are like with calling meetings off at half six.
And - it took 45 mins for the clubs twitter account to put it was called off, luckily I follow Ned Payne on twitter who tweeted first about it I believe. According to another Poole fan, Ned tweeted it before they announced it at the stadium!!
Hmm, not sure I believe it. Where I live it was a bit dizzly this morning but that's it. But I am half an hour drive away. So any fans who live near the track, was there heavy rain this morning? The forecast was for it to be very cloudy all day, so it was never gonna be sunny enough to dry anything out!
