King’s Lynn vs Sheffield, May 16th 2024
LisaColette replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The forecast doesn't look that bad on the met office tbh. Light rain in afternoon and dry from 5pm. Has to be something else again. -
1. So what does that make Craig Cook? A moody teenager lol. He definitely hates us or we give him bad anxiety, not 100% sure which one it is. 2. Can't see Plymouth struggling that much. How close it is will depend on what Bowtell and Hook do imo. Also see they have done the draw for KO cup and we have Berwick/Scunny.

Also 4 riders never have been there before didn't help, though thought Tate did a good job. Bit unlucky in a couple of races. Also good to see all 4 riders come round for a lap of honour after H15, I think the Edinburgh riders also did this at Poole the other week. I think fans appreciate that. One for the Plymouth fans in H11 ( seeing as you been talking about Craig Cook's moving starts!) he jumped and completely messed himself up and the ref was very good and let the race continue. So there you go it doesn't always work!
-
Exactly! Should just say what it was like they did with Richie.
-
Mini rebuild if poss. With Starke out as well. I'd keep the others as I think they will improve over the season.
-
You know you could just start the meeting thread!
-
No it would not, thanks! Worky did really well tonight. Plymouth is not an easy place to go to and get a win.
-
Broken his finger last Weds in H8 apparently.
-
Is it true everyone else wants to get on with it apart from Craig Cook? Some things never change!
-
Maybe if we moved back up! Can't see him wanting Championship racing.
-
Sure I read other posters saying it is on 14th or 15th May. Complin may have asked for extra time like Richie Worrall did.

Sheffield vs Ipswich 13th May

Not great for team spirit though, when one of your team mates says you should be potentially out of the team, and surely you don't sack someone when they are having their testimonial that year and is captain! -
Also see Jason Edwards not riding for Sheffield tonight, is that because he is injured also?

If you are going to award points for a rain off, you would have to give majority of the points to the away team so the home promotion try their hardest to keep meetings on. -
Workington v Glasgow 11/05/24 3pm (Ch)

You kinda need Lawson don't you! He loves the pressure heats when you need a 5-1 to win. Steve is opposite, the less pressure the better. (This is going by what they say in streaming and press conference interviews in the past). -
You mean the cup in 2003 where if you were in the top league you put out a Champ level team? I can't remember what that was called either lol. Wasn't that what we first bought Lindback over for, half way through the season? Anyway... Craig Cook is always good at Poole whatever is happening. Same with Batch most of the time. I would be surprised if either of them got below 11. Be interesting to see how Tate does and how many secrets about the track Darcy has told him!! Sure he has mentioned the cutback on bends 1 and 2 if you don't make the gate. Vissing you would expect to be good for 6-8 points. The others is anyone's guess, depends how quickly they get the set up right and if they like the track I suppose. These next two home meetings a massive banana skins, be interesting to see how it pans out. Edit - prediction 48-42.

Maybe other teams aren't willing to go there then because of potential Polish fixtures? Berwick seemed to have a big gap in home fixtures last season too.
