  1. Hmm, funny how the guest isn't at 5. Maybe Tom wants H13 every meeting?
  2. Listening back to it, I had to turn the volume up to max and could only just hear it when they said Scott's name. Was prob just a few kids in the grandstand doing it.
  3. IF and it is the biggest if you can get there Lewy what you are saying is true and is similar to what other posters are saying about Craig Cook (I am assuming that is what you mean) I wouldn't want them in the team. It would make me very very uncomfortable.
  4. If it is true, he should be unemployable imo. Why would anyone want someone like that at their club?
  5. The good thing with that is the BBC are not great at weather forecasts!!
  6. British Speedway Network - COOK BLASTS BASSO AFTER ANGRY BUST-UP EDINBURGH’S Craig Cook told rival Ben Basso to “harden up” after they came to blows at Ashfield. The Monarchs No.5 was excluded from Heat 9 for knocking off Basso during their BSN Series clash on Sunday evening. The Dane jumped up and then grabbed Cook as they came to blows before being separated by officials. Referee Jim McGregor was forced to speak to both riders following the clash and Cook was excluded from the race. Cook said: “He came up the inside of me into turn three, just turned right on me and swung his back end into my wheels. “If you want to play games like that, if you want to give it, you’ve got to take it. “He’s there calling me fat, this that and the other. It must be hard for him in the race after and getting smoked by a fat man. “It’s a man’s game not boys. How about have a spoon full of concrete and harden the f*** up. “I don’t care what people think of me, nothing phases me. I’m a different person this year. “They can say what they want, call me what they want. It doesn’t matter. I’m my own harshest critic. I don’t give a s*** what anybody says.” Glasgow won the feisty battle 51-39 and Basso added: “We had a good battle. I felt like I had closed the door coming into the corner. But out the corner he just ran straight to the fence and into the bike. Then I came down and it was chaos. “For about 10 seconds I just lost my temper. I went over to Craig like I shouldn’t have done. I just grabbed his helmet. “I feel like I am normally in balance with myself. I can control my anger. “But he was just chatting s*** a little bit. He said he’s bigger and stronger than me, he can beat me anytime. He can say whatever, I’m going to beat him next time. “This doesn’t happen with me. It’s one of the first fights I’ve been involved in at a track.”
  7. Hmmm maybe. But you already gave up your place in the final and if Leicester are the ones not giving a date, then really we should get it by default!
  8. I got carried away a bit lol. Will be good to see them do well in the Prem, they deserve it.
  9. Shame not streamed as I would like to compare it to the one last season at Leicester when he tried to start on one of the Thompson twins for a move that was just hard racing.
  10. Maybe. Poole have no meeting on 12th April or in May half term break I noticed, so no lack of dates available!!
  11. Although if one team won't give any dates for the jubilee final, how is it going to get sorted out??
  12. Available for hire eh?? At least on the 'future projects' bit the track is still there!!!
  13. Getting to the bottom of it. Apparently it is when announcing Oxford riders names before H15. Sam and Scott always get a good reception at Poole and Sam got clapped/cheered when he came round after H15, so don't get it! Will watch back and see! lol.
  14. Live music and drive-in film plans for Poole Stadium | Bournemouth Echo "Permission is also being sought for drive-in fill events at the town centre site. Poole Stadium Ltd has submitted an application to BCP Council to vary its premises licence for the Stadium Way venue. The company wants to add the ability to have a maximum of three outdoor music and film events per year. This would see the licensable activities varied to allow films from 11am to 2.30am with showings to be broadcast direct to vehicles and finishing at 11pm. Live music would be from 11am to 11pm on Saturdays, while recorded music would be available 11am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 10.30pm on Sundays. A public consultation on the application is currently open. It closes to comments on May 1. As reported, plans are taking shape for the stadium to host Chunkfest in June, with disabled and able-bodied athletes competing against each other in strength events. In the evening there is set to be live music, DJs, street performers and laser shows." They can do whatever just not on Weds evenings!!!
  15. There was one time at Poole when Bridger didn't get away with it, only time I have seen it though. He was not happy! lol
  16. Yeah, agree. I remember once Nicki said he loved being boo'd at Poole and then when it happened he started moaning about it in the press. He obviously was trying some sort of reverse psychology. Didn't work on the fans though lol. Apparently there was a tiny bit just after the parade or early on (not sure why, nothing really happened!) but I was prob too busy talking to notice lol.
  17. Not long then Didn't someone say one team won't give any dates for the final?
  18. This is a good race to watch when he is riding under pressure, he is a good team player. Often looking for teammate. Will always listen to advice form more experienced riders too and a fast learner. Worst away track is prob Leicester, but each time he has been, he has done better than the previous time. I did try and find some of the GF at KL, seeing it is a track Wolves will be going to, but only races i can find on YT he isn't in. Although he might have his work cut out against the KL reserves, he can definitely ride the track and think he is capable of beating Edwards, not sure about Jakobsen though! I would say Ben is a bit ahead of him with development. But they both are improving all the time in the Championship, each season. So much so @Arthur54 is worried they'll end up being too good for the Champ in a few years and move away from Poole. But hey we could always move up with them!
