If you are using r/r then a no8 should be there. In 2021 Poole had r/r for Basso at 2 (prob riding in Denmark, as it was at Brum) and Stefan Nielsen got injured in H2. I think we had to do a couple of races with just one rider. So I will always think a no8 should be there!

Doesn't really matter who has the second leg for me, it is being streamed and you can celebrate the trophy with the home fans the week after if needed. Not like the playoffs when the playoff final is last fixture of the season.

I think I would be tempted to put Ben Cook at 5 and Steve at 3? Steve always says how much he likes riding at 3 and feel Ben would ride better with the reserves imo. Though it would mean splitting up the Cook partnership
