What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
LisaColette replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think they don't say because they also massively hint at prem and Champ merging, so prob might not be called championship or premiership but something else next year? -
https://oxfordspeedway.club/2025/09/final-fling-for-spires/ Exciting new era in British speedway? Can't wait to see what it is! 🤷♀️

Not even on the stream?

Unless fans stop attending play off meetings, then they will stay. Don't think a Glasgow fan has anything against Glasgow!! Think they were just giving a rough guideline on how it could be, rather than exact?

Could you imagine using nearly 20 points on 2 riders! Would need at least 3 two pointers. -
What happens to tv contract? As was told they aren't interested in one league and are increasing money clubs get in hopes a club moves up apparently.

I heard on a podcast recently that they have changed there minds and keeping it though as a weaker format, so you wouldn't get the aussies and so on doing it.

Putting aside any new league structure, they be going for Sam and Scott as a top 2 again imo and maybe Mitch as the 3rd heatleader? They can send Gusts to Poole if they want as one attempt at Poole and rides it almost like a no1! Though he'd have to give up Denmark. -
Think you are clutching at straws there. Bigger crowds for Champ so dropping that would make no sense considering all Oxford have done since joining the Prem is making the numbers up.
