  1. Garrity Mellgren and Lykke must be nailed on. Be good if nelson could join them. I think Lanham will be with us too. I would have thought that would leave enough points for a powerful spearhead. Good meeting last night. Roynon looks back to his best. What a shame he has had all of those injuries. Nice touch for him to do an extra lap and clap the Rye fans. He Auty and Lanham will always be welcome guests at Rye. Thought the crowd did nt look far off a sarurday night crowd. Lawson just looked down on power rather than confidence. On his tactical ride he flew from the gate but our boys were passed him very quickly.
  2. Shadders surely if Len knew Tyson was nt coming he would just say so and sign another replacement for Luke?
  3. I also like the way Garrity is shaping up. He will benefit from the whole season at reserve and may become a real trump card by the end of the season. I really do feel for Luke but if the team ends up as per the line up in Bens post then that is a decent team - home and away with every one of the guys being a racer and not a gating tart. Happy days.
  4. Looking at the green sheets I wonder whether Len should redeclare now before the new ones come out. With a fairly decent month behind us I suspect some of our averages will have crept up?
  5. Yes I did Shadders. Dudley did bring quite a few but certainly in the main stand there are a few old faces returning. It is a worry though. We are third in the league (or were when I last looked) with a team that has a good away record and likes to race and yet the crowd is maybe half that of 2007. Economics are perhaps playing their part or is it complacency that fans can just go when they want. People seem to forget the dark Ronnie Rogue years and the subsequent closure. The only link I know of to the green sheets Arson Fire is through the bspa site. Sorry.
  6. If I read the fixtures correctly we only have scunthorpe at home before Nelson due back before 20/7/2012. Terrible shame for Luke. He had enjoyed a great start to the season too. I dont know how many more of these he can take before he decides to call it a day. Just checked green sheets. although Nelson is .5 more than Luke on green sheets issued on 7/6 he will probably be higher on next green sheets. I cant believe Ritchie Worrall still has a 4.67 average. How on earth can that be right? Shadders I dont know what you think but I think the crowd levels have started to stabilise. It was nt a bad turn out versus Somerset bearing in mind the weather and the Euro's.
  7. Shame there is nt a club statement. Its not good for the fans not knowing. Dissilusioned fans = stay aways. X
  8. Hope Bem and the American boy are both okay after the crash in heat 15.
  9. Has gone ominously quiet has nt it.
  10. Okay I am really looking forward to this. I remember us getting cocky a couple of years ago and winning, I think, by only a single point. We do have four genuine heat leaders at NL level but a very very long tail. The yanks may not win but if thjeir previous efforts are anything to go by they will give it a go and be entertaining. And you never know one may just be a future Rocket. We are getting way too fussy as supporters. It was nt that long ago when we were out of business and would have prayed for any meeting.
  11. Well Garritty will strengthen us but i'd have still preferred Hazelden for Hawkins.
  12. cant you just re declare??? Everyone elase seems too.
  13. Funny I thought almost every track gave home riders some sort of advantage.
  14. Well this meeting proved Waco spot on. Dominant display by Morley Mason Hazeldon and searjent. With the right back up these boys could win the league. Lee Chessell and Braddock all showed promise at different times but together form an almighty long tail which will see meetings that should be won - lost. Entertaining all the same. Owen easily the pick for IOW. Shame he did nt ride with that effort for the Raiders/Hawks.
  15. Waco i left then but only because it was freezing cold. I'll be there good friday. I also think that we should be more up beat about this team. We have a very good top four and Braddock looks like he has real potential.
  16. Sorry shadders my brain is still slowly thawing from last night.
  17. Very enjoyable meeting last night. Tai and eddie were class and Jensen looked brilliant. For the Rockets Bowen and Garrity were both very competitive and nice to see Jordan get some laps in. I hate to say it but Hawkins was the only one off the pace. I hope Len is ruthless enough to replace him with Nelson when his visa is available.
  18. Tipped to finish below Scunthorpe? Really?
  19. The good news is that with the points available he's a very good option but the bad news is there must be a serious problem with Nelsons application.
  20. I have to say I cannot wait for saturday. The racing should be first class although it should be a comfortable peterborough win. Just hope Frampton does nt agrivate his injury though.
  21. Okay what 7+ riders are available ????
  22. Agree with you secsy1. I remember Len saying he even made money out of the free meetings through fish and chips and bar sales etc. In those circumstances bring the price down to half. If people wont even bother to pay a fiver to watch ben shane etc then you have to wonder.
  23. Tocha cant we get gjedde and lanham and replace hawkins with nelson?
  24. ive been going to speedway since 1974 and cant remember so much bad luck befalling a team two weeks into a season. We lose our top two, bunyan is injured and Nelson has no visa. With poor Neath its the easier decision as he needs replacing but do you go with r/r for frampton? That would depend on having enough quality riders to fill the gap. There is nt anywhere near enough at the moment especially away from homeI know it sounds sad but we have to re declare a new seven with an out and out number 1 with lanham anor nelson bowen bunyan and garrity.
