  1. Wolves riders made a mess of themselves, nothing to do with the robins riders...why give them both the 2nd chance??
  2. Heart attack stuff from Batchelor. FairPlay to him for getting his head down and going for it in that heat. if thorsell had got up instead of staying down for a rerun....Wolves would have got the 3-3 they were on when the red lights came on. Karma eh.
  3. Karma for Becker trying to jump the start anyway, triggering Jensen to move. Good old British refs. Consistent as ever. Just when you think they can’t get any worse.
  4. harping on as if a wolves rider has never done the same. The inevitable happened anyway and you’re two points better off because luckily for you, Batch is so dense, light bends around him.
  5. Even on the TV you can’t escape the antics of the Wolves track presenter. Give me strength.
  6. Not sure what the wisdom of Troy staying doesn’t for a rerun when we’ve got a reserve sat in 2nd... if you’re going to throw the towel in, at least don’t mess up your young partner’s race too. Watch Perks make a flyer and win it now
  7. Who ever is directing the shots for BT tonight is having a shocker. Keep showing shots from the back as the riders leave the tapes so you’ve got no idea shoes made the start or not. Too busy showing riders pulled up on the centre green whilst there’s a tussle for the lead. Basic stuff.
  8. I’d wager it could be any track with that amount of water in it and Claus would win it more often than not. He’s got years and years of experience over the other lads in that race, on all sorts of tracks. Hopefully going to pay dividends for Swindon tonight.
  9. Not surprising to see the experienced man winning heat 2. Hopefully the boys just realise it’s only a race to the first turn at the moment. Paramount you get there first.
  10. Get the feeling this is just going to be a complete lottery. surpised they’re getting straight on with this
  11. They’ll do well to get anything race-able out of that. I was told the forecast was dry, after saying there were showers in the air for today, yesterday... you need to be looking at the right forecasts it seems. Annoyingly we’ve been having sporadic showers all day today and yesterday in Swindon too, so I can’t imagine the Abbey track has had a chance to dry out much at all. Frustrating stuff.
  12. On Monday when the 1st leg was postponed, Tuesday and Wednesday were looking to be dry days, but we’ve had a bit of rain down here today and due some tomorrow, as are wolves...not good.
  13. Annoying but probably the best decision. Bet the track is soaked as it is already. Started raining in Swindon already. Way ahead of forecast.
  14. I won’t be too bothered if we were to lose tonight, if conditions are poor though and the racing/performance suffers, it would just be a shame to have a “what could of been” situation.
  15. Shame this one looks to be in the lap of the weather gods. In decent weather and the track prepared as well as it has been a lot of the time this season, this match would be an absolute corker. You can imagine the rain playing havoc with the visibility at best and the track as the meeting progresses, though. Throw in a few jumps at the tapes and general faffing, it could be a frustrating evening. I had some friends interested coming to their first meeting tonight, but I’ll probably recommend they save it for tonight as I don’t want to run the risk of going home disappointed after just 7 heats of crap speedway.
  16. Don’t know why there’s so much bleating about the reversal of home/away legs. It’s still 30 heats and the same teams. I prefer it having a lead* to hold on to. Puts the pressure on the chasing team in the 2nd leg to get heat advantages where as we know we can hang on for 3-3s if things get tough. Only real stinker would be if it went to golden heats Anyway, 2009, we had the home leg of the final 2nd and lost. 2017 home leg first and won....although in the reverse of my previously stated logic So basically it’s written in the stars. *hopefully
  17. Poole remembered how to gate just as the Witches managed to complete forget. Odd meeting.
  18. Too much dirt on the track tonight. All the lines we’ve got familiar with recently have disappeared. Now you’ve just got to make the gate and keep the throttle open without making any big mistakes and you’ll be fine. Another example of just dumping a load of dirt on a track doesn’t make good racing.
  19. Can’t believe a team fell for THJ mid season signing shenanigans again......Bahahahahahaha
  20. One minute he was in as a tac sub in heat 14, next minute he was replaced by Tungate. Garrity over him in 15. Must have told the manager to get stuffed.
