No Zagar , big mistake

Nick Morris falling off is nothing new. A few seasons back we used to call him Fallalot. Bend 2 on his second or third lap he would slide off into the airbag for no apparent reason with no other rider anywhere near him.

How many meetings did BT actually show this year, not including GP's ? -

Perhaps Gavan feels you were gifted it with no Holder and NKI ? -
I am surprised you would want Iversen back after the playoff farce. The most important night in the history of KL and he accepts a meeting in Poland !! Cost you the championship.

Abu Dhabi !! Ragheads and Scalextric sounds like a punishment to me.

So Fat Maud is starting a new business abroad. What in Jam doughnuts or jammy dodgers ?

When Rosco said there was no one to replace Jack Smith I take it we couldn't have young Tom ? -
I think this year must be one of the best for speedway on TV recently. Freesports showing Swedish and Polish leagues, pity they don't have our leagues BT are a joke even worse than Sky was. Eurosport have shown the SEC so all in all not a bad season.

I must go and get my eyes tested, can't tell the difference between HD and SD. Wouldn't be anything to do with how much it cost ?

They will do a Reading on us if they can get away with it. Drove past Smallmead on the way to the R Berks Monday, it has just been left as a temp car park. The sign on the roundabout still says Stadium !!

Many years ago perhaps before your time there was cycle speedway run on more or less the same way as real speedway. The boys were pretty fast and came off the same way, My comment was sardonic, and my main point was we couldn't do any worse with another rider, last is last. -

Never ridden a speedway bike I admit. Had a Bonnie 650 many years ago though, The point about Jack Smith is nobody could do worse could they. Even if his replacement came last every time it wouldn't be any different but he may even a get a point or two. -

I would have thought someone on a push bike would be a better option than Jack Smith, and no I'm not RR either -

So the the 'disinterested' Batch managed to be top scorer again ! The very very disinterested Morris ? what was his score again. Give me Charlie Gjedde at his best any day. -
This new stadium stored in Wales, does it exist ? Has anybody seen it and who payed for it. How did Swindon council give planning permission for houses to be built so close to the track if they believed racing would continue. Were people who bought new houses told on the QT that there would be no speedway in the future ? It all smells a bit fishy, I will be surprised I hope if we have a team next year.
-
Last night we had a 5 man team instead of our usual 6. Jack Smith 0 as usual but Bellego 0 !! Morris got some good points for a change but Batch decided to have a night off instead.
-
Par for the course with Rosco. Rico signed to replace LA didn't happen. Hansi wanted to finish his career at the Abbey. Mattie cruising around on LA's shoulder looking just as good but was let go. Doyley our first WC since Briggo gone in preference for Morris !! and there have been others.

Another great performance tonight, especially from Jack Smith. I don't know why he even bothers to come out of the pits, waste of fuel.
-
Some of Jack Smith's points were because another rider dropped out. He was still last !
-
The bastards, so the Racers could still be there. I live in Newbury so always had the option of Swindon, Reading or Oxford. My mate was a Robins fan so we came to the Abbey, but still went to Smallmead or Cowley if the Robins were away.
-
Did they ever build anything there ? I went past the site ages after it closed and it was a big pile of rubble.
-
Will there be a Robins team next year ? The new stadium is still pie in the sky with a lot of powerful people doing their best to stop it being built. It is supposed to be in storage somewhere, paid for ? Can a new site be found somewhere well away from any houses. Having been a regular since 1963 I think this season could be the last. Somebody cheer me up please !
