I'm very interested in this comparison but as an example did Zmarslik give it 100% behind Woffy in the heats ? He knew he was in the semi, had gate choice so there was no need to take any chances. Under the old system he would have been flat out. The 2020 system allows a rider to coast in his last heat or two, maybe try a set up for the semi, rather than have to get every point at all costs. I'm sure it wouldn't happen but the system could allow a bit of team riding to get a mate into the semi.

If that is proven it must follow the riders using an illegal or non spec tyre should be disqualified or lose points. Can ban the use of something unless it breaks the rules.

How can BSI change the rules after one GP ? Or have riders broken a rule ? Either way it's ridiculous.

disagree, crowds are being seen in many sports now and planning goes ahead for Premier league football. What the Gov are stopping are local outbreaks caused by idiots who can't follow rules. We've all seen pubs bursting at the seams which is so stupid. If seats are allocated with distancing, face masks and personal bubbles there will be crowds in stadiums.
