  1. I agree box office and a superb rider but he will have eventually, or give somebody else, a trip to the hospital resulting in a very long stay. Most of his crashes are where he cleans someone up entering a bend and takes another rider with him.
  2. Ref has had a shocker. Emil is just plain dangerous and a big crash waiting to happen. People moan about Pedersen but Emil is in a different league. He aint dirty just totally reckless, chases back wheels, come hard under riders into bends.
  3. No other GP can have as bad a record. I rest my prosecution case yer'honour
  4. I dont know what the answer is Dave. In some cases I reckon the racing doesn't reflect the state of the track, by that I mean the amount of grip & dirt on it. The riders are all very talented and, we hope, on equipment that is equal. So with 4 riders going roughly the same speed it takes a mistake, or a great bit of riding, to get a pass. It's noticable how many different riders are winning heats, winning GP's, and great riders are having bad nights like Crump and Gollob in Italy. Maybe it's set up but maybe its just that it's so competitive and anyone can win. Terenzano has long fast straights but a tight entrance into the corners, so that dont help, nor does the white dust they race on. Gothenburg gets waterlogged too often to make it a round to put in tha diary. It's also suffered from holes in the past. Someone with a better memory than me will know how often Gothenburg has been ruined by the wet weather in the last 10 years. What's your answer Dave ?
  5. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion Dave. Agree that Gothenburg is in the centre of town, thought about going myself, but luckily decided against it. Nice venue but how many times have we had a good GP there. That's one not ruined by a crap track with holes in it and/or heavy rain. I'll stick to my view that Terenzano doesn't produce good racing with passing opportunities.
  6. I heard about Sweden but was unaware about Italy. My original mail was pure personal preference as both tracks, for varied reasons, are not suitable as venues.
  7. You will probably be right but I hope they do shuffle the pack to keep things fresh, maybe change a venue or two. Terenzano produces poor racing and doesn't sell out with only 4000 capacity. Id get rid of that GP and the one in Sweden that is often ruined by rain. Would save Prague as the Marketa is being redesigned so that could be better.
  8. who cares what they do in motor racing, it's rubbish. this is speedway, keep it simple, no joker. the mechanics make changes to the bikes after each race, thats all that is needed
  9. The joker should be removed. It penalises the team doing best, so how can that be right. IT also causes tactical rides like Davy Watt in heat 23, that cant be right either. Poland probably wouldn't have won with the imputus the joker win gave them, and took away from the Aussies. Whoever gets most points wins. Simple system.
  10. how can it be corrupt to have the right result. joker has ruined the event as the Poles gained a massive imputus from using it and to turn the meeting around. rubbish
  11. It would be good to support Lewis Bridger but his behaviour and attitude's prevent that. If he doesn't grow up soon he'll be out the sport, who would want to speak to him. lets hope he matures quickly. Barker rode really well and should be proud of his performance, as should Bomber. Tai has loads of talent but seems to be falling off all the time whilst Kennett is a good domestic rider but isn't yet good enough at international level. Dont blame Middleditch, he cares, but you aint winning anything with that team
  12. If Batch did deliberately get 3rd, so what, as he broke no rule and it's happened plenty of times in the past. Back in the old style GP days where gate positions were determined by your finishing position in a previous race, hope that bit makes sense, plenty of riders slowed up to allow others go past. Tony Rickardson did it loads of times. The other thing to remember, if it was deliberate, that it would have been on team orders. Not his fault, just doing as he was told.
  13. didn't he do the same thing in 2010 or 2009 ? take the joker when you can, you may not get another chance
  14. what right does any one have to stop a 'star' for an autograph when they are going about there daily business and not at the workplace. most will oblidge but if they dont want to sign or have pictures taken then tough luck. There is a time and place for everything and Crumpy had just got stuffed in a gp on a track where he would have expected to win or at least get big points. GP hopes up in smoke ? I dont blame him if he was fed up, tired, miserable as it was late at night and he was on his way home. Are those moaning about him always in a happy mood after a bad day at the office ?
  15. the live meeting was rubbish racing on a gaters track, all over by first bend in nearly every heat
  16. two gp's would be good as both would be supported but what chance the Manchester weather getting in the way. how many BV metings get rained off through the season / in September ? any BV fan know, answers on a postcard please we are also assuming the new track will be worthy of a gp. the new track at Leicester looks great but the racing is blooming awful
  17. he did what he had to do from the graveyard gate and it very nearly worked.
  18. you were probably watching another meeting as there was loads of passing in plenty of races
