  1. Gollob's had two big hits on his head this season so maybe that is the problem. Could he still be feeling the effects.
  2. reports say Jason Crump has broken his collarbone whilst riding in Russia. Had a crash which may have been with Vladimir Borodulin, he has broken a wrist. http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=sv&u=http://www.aktuellspeedway.se/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.aktuellspeedway.se/%26hl%3Den%26prmd%3Dimvns&sa=X&ei=HuwHUMfPIaeU0QWuiciJBQ&ved=0CFcQ7gEwAA
  3. Yes. MIght make it a long day, big interval needed to arrange the pits, but some decent entertainment would pass the time or a good bar.
  4. Yes that would work well. Taking Prague as an example it would give the CZ team a decent chance with home advantage in the Race Off. It would also allow the 4 best teams to get to the Final. In the qualifiers it would mean each point is vital to come 3rd to get to the Race Off. But there would have to be provision for 'joker points' to be accounted for. It's not a cert that both 3rd place teams would be able to use a joker. If both teams used the joker I'd remove those points from end scores. If Team A gets 6pts but Team B fails to score the effect of the joker is greater on the end score. Personally I'd get rid of the joker. It stop what the Danes did last Saturday. They played to the rules, nothing stopping them, but it didnt look right. It's probably there for TV but it disorts the end result. The high level of competition should be good enough for TV as with 4 good teams in the final it should be a close call who wins. Have the Race Off & Final in a place that's easy to get to. Malilla must be one of the most remore tracks, maybe that had an effect on the crowd ?
  5. Prague would be a good place to hold the two meetings. Marketa is local to the city, plenty of hotels, good nightlife, accessable from other European countries by car and an airport close by. Maybe the home nation could get seeded to the Race Off ? That would give them home advantage but also allow the top 4 teams on ability to fight out the final.
  6. My view is that Maliia is a good track but it's in the middle of nowhere and hard to get to for travelling fans. If BSI placed the race off & final in a decent tourist area, or at least an area with excellent transport links, it could encourage travelling fans to attend both meetings and make the racing an excuse for a trip away. I've not been to Malilla but it seems very remote from major cities, airports and other attractions. Would one of the major draws about Cardiff be is its proximity to accomodation, bars, food and a rail station.
  7. That would mean Croatia would be in the final. Philip, this goes off subject but are BV designing their new track by using another track's dimensions / measurements as a basis for success. Leicester springs to mind as a superb facility but has 'first out the gate' poor racing. I wondered who was making those decisions at BV.
  8. thanks, so the Czech's would go through to the final which is an interesting thought
  9. Has anyone any clues as to where next years 4 events will be held ? Thanks
  10. Although I still think it's barmy to take on the Aussies at Poole I have to agree it's a good promotional move by the Poole management. They will no doubt make a few pounds and have a good nights racing.
  11. I made it very clear my post was NOT, I repeat NOT, anti Poole. I've no problem with Poole at all. I want GB to win and Poole is the last track I'd face them on. Their No 1 and 2 ride there, unless Crump turns up, which is without dispute. Poole are probably putting on the match as they know it will sell because of Holder / Ward. But what is the point of having a home Test without any home advantage. We are all allowed an opinion and that's mine.
  12. What do you expect people to say ? Poole is the worst possible track to take on the Aussies as Holder, Watt & Ward have a massive home track advantage. It's not anti Poole speedway it's just a very poor choice of track. There is zero home advantage, unless you're an Aussie of course Do you want GB to win or get badly beaten. It will probably get a big crowd because the Poole public will support it, some may even want Holder & Ward to go through the card unbeaten, who knows. Poole will make some nice gate money but as I don't want to see GB soundly beaten. Success breeds success and GB would have no chance round there.
  13. as both riders are ok i will post this from youtube nasty and both lucky to be fine
  14. a shame but forecast isnt good http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655819
