This is a poor decison. It takes the edge off the British Final in some ways. The GP wild card was always a good incentive for 15 riders to do battle. That is not anti Harris as he may well have won the spot anyway but it dilutes a good meeting. Who made this decision. Anyone know ?

Holder got 160pts last season. I didn't know double points had been removed from the FInal. That's -6pts per GP lost so that's 72 pts taken away from the previous season. Hard for the top 6 in 2013 to achieve or better last years total. Holder would have to get an average 12.92 pts each GP from a possible 18pts just to get 155.

The racing was quite poor with predictable inside line wins in most heats but good to see speedway on TV. The commentary was excellent. Some funny lines from both guys, especially the one about the girl wearing a T'shirt with a map of Australia on it. Johnno was great as he told viewers what was going on with the bikes and racing lines. I'd keep those two all season if possible or replace Tatem with Johno Ward is going to be very exciting when he gets a racers track. Well done Woffy.

I think those calling for Middlo's head are going over the top. The reason being is that he has been misquoted in the press so you, nor I, know what he really said. Until you know exactly what he said you can't judge him properly.

Ward could struggle on his first season in GP as it's the hottest GP field we've had for many years. Emil to win this year as he progressed steadily last season but he needs to keep clear of backj wheels and the air fence. Hampel will have a good season after a winter to recover from injury.
