It's not hindsight, look at his league form, you admit it's been poor. Why pick an out of form rider over others who are doing far better ? All the team manager has done with his pick is ruin Kennett's confidence even more. He didn't even give him his 2nd ride. Bomber did well trying to pick the boy up but he was gone after that.

If we are limited then surely he should pick in form riders who are riding with confidence and not one who has hardly won a race for two months. His scores have been poor in the Elite league home and away.

My point wasn't about strength in depth it was about Middlo picking an out of form rider in Kennett. His league form has been woeful and below that of Barker, Bridger. Kennett's been in SWC's before and has failed before when he's been in better form coming into the tournament I sympathise for Kennett. He was only given 3 from 5 rides which is, in part, an admission by the management that he shouldn't have been picked in the first place. They should have showed some guts and changed the team before lowering Kennett's confidence to an even lower level. Another admission of a poor pick is that he's been dropped for the race off.

Who have they got bar Ward. Its not much better. Watt dropped for Woodward ! good post. I feel sorry for Kennett as his form over the last 2 months has been dire. Bar a miracle there was only one possible outcome tonight and his confidence is now probably shot.

Doubt Middlo / Morris will openly say they made an error by picking an out of form Kennett. But by dropping him is enough proof. I don't understand the selection process as riders like Barker Bridger and King are scoring far more than him in the Elite league. feel sorry for Kennett as he would have been giving 100%

Poor form choice by Middlo (what does he do at Poole if Matt Ford picks the team ?) in picking Kennett. Hasn't scored many points in recent weeks, hardly won a heat. Cook struggled but a tough call to drop him given his potential 3rd / 4th rider a toss up between Bridger as he's scoring loads of points or Barker who will give it his all.

What have been Kennett's scores over the last month in UK and abroad ? How does he compare to the other riders ? His last 5 scores have been 1, 6, 6+1, 7+2, 10+1 All were away meetings bar the 7+2 he got at home against Coventry. 10+1 was away at Eastbourne

Both have been world champion within the last 3 seasons so they would surely get a wild card. But in some ways that would be a poor call as they are both on the downgrade due to age. Would it be a shame to see performance go further downhill. Gollob gives up when he is behind and only rarely shows his old brilliance whilst Hancock rides with his head and doesn't get mixed up with the younger lads who ride flat out 100%.

I cant get my head round the Czech's being in the final just because the meeting is held in Prague. How many more will that put on the gate against having a competitive 4 team meeting with close racing and a closer result. Baffling decision. It will be even more baffling if the racing is poor because of the track.

Why not just change the rule and give the referee some room to use common sense. Sometimes there is no one to blame for a crash as its just an racing accident. Ref should be able to allow all 4 back at any stage of the race.
