  1. He told me once that he had Ole Olsen and Ivan Mauger Physco Analysised and he understood how their minds worked at that point, and therefore he knew that it was going to beat them. How, I am not sure now of course, and if I should not admit this but I believed him as young highly impressionable fan. He was very convincing. Where ever he is I hope he has found his peace. Thanks for all your replies.
  2. You could be very right there. According to Speedway historians he has not left a final resting place Officially. Maybe he still has the last laugh.
  3. No, it seems he was not many fans favourite rider Miro but he was non the less a very good rider. Again, its said Ivan Mauger no less agrees with that. Basically, we would like to establish if the guy is still with us. He ran a training school in the early 70's at Hackney with Len Silver. Perhaps uncle Len can help?? Can anyone ask Len the question?
  4. Can anyone throw any light on him and his where abouts? Mentioning to another they said that Ivan Mauger said his son saw him on a golf course in Australia only a few years back. Any info appreciated.
  5. Whilst he was back in Sweden recently Ove attended the Swedish Grand Prix, celebrated his 75th birthday and was at the official opening of a museum dedicated to him in his home town of Tranas. If there are any pictures from or a web site address of the museum, we will post them on here soon. A photo of Ove at the Swedish Grand Prix: Here I am sure we all wish a Happy 75th Birthday to Ove. 7. Sorry Subie baby but the engine would hardly clear the bar let alone the back wheel.
  8. Do you have any idea how much a motocross bike has in ground clearance compared to a speedway bike? The length of travel on the suspension?
  9. The best books out on speedway at the moment are: "How to win friends and influence people" By A. Dane "Out of this world" By David Norris. "Any track you travel you will still arrive" By Ole Olsen "Amateur Dramatics" By Rune Holta "My life as Saddams information Minister" By Steve Shovlar. (Sorry could not resist it Lol...) Who is John Berry anyway?
  10. Trick is indeed a superb speedway rider and lets not forget that, but in the record books for 2004 he was second. Second SS is the first of the losers.
  11. 1/ Jason Crump 2/ Tony Rickardsson 3/ T. Gollob 4/ Hans Andersen
  12. When I was young my mum and dad taught me that cheats never prosper. It appears that they were wrong.
  13. It could be about him trying to actually win the race himself. He is not there to make the numbers up or had to get out the way for anyone. He was not being lapped. If he had gone for it there is chance under pressure PK might have made a mistake in trying to win and Scotty may have got past him. He cheated, we lost. The Swedes should be relagated to second.
  14. You cant win anything when others cheat. So we in affect we won Middlo, If it was F!, MotoGP, athletics or any sport the results would not stand. We were the best team on the night not the Swedes. Well done you and all the lads.
  15. He is also now changing his tune a bit since Middlo posted on another thread. You cant win anything if people cheat. Well done Mark - fantastic performance. Floppy was brilliant as was Havvy and Lee. Scott was brilliant too but with no luck on his side. The Swedes won but they were not any better than us. One way or another the ref completely lost it, which was embarrasing for all concerned.
  16. So sorry Garf just trying to speak a little German (Some English people do you know.. ) and was making a little joke.... Unfortunately, these traits it seems - humour, apologising, being wrong does not apply to Iris.
  17. Iris: Fur Ich Alles zu gesprechen: Shizer. Verstehen: Normal.
  18. Dont worry about it Kevin everyone knows who you mean and you can spell it Muller if you had a German keyboard with the Umlauts dot over the 'u' as Iris has done on another thread. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=11050 Whichever way you spell it, he was just another rider who managed to 'fluke one' basically as you suggest.
  19. 1. Jason Crump 2. Tony Rickardsson 3. Leigh Adams 4. Lee Richardson
  20. 1. Jason Crump 2. Tomasz Gollob 3. Tony Rickardsson 4. Leigh Adams
  21. Tonight we were discussing where Rossi sits in the scheme of things, when compared to Hailwood and Agostini. In Speedway, who are the top seven greatest ever. Here is my greatest ever top seven. If you like my dream team of all time. 1. Gundersen 2. Fundin 3. Craven 4. Moore 5. Briggs 6. Mauger 7. Rickardsson What is your top seven.?
  22. That's a very good interesting point SCB
