Golden Great

Well, my first visit to Owlerton for a while and I've got to say I was surprised how average the 'racing' was. Maybe it was a poor Berwick side and my expectations were a little high but it was all forgettable. I used to be a regular at Owlerton but circumstances have resulted in my attendance being limited so I was looking forward to going tonight. On the plus side, Garrity looked absolute class, Josh Bates also stood out. Berwick, Jorgensen and Doolan apart, and to some extent Fisher, were woeful.

When I started going to Sheffield in 1982 I seem to remember them playing 'I Won't Let You Down' by PHD and 'Ebony and Ivory' by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder all the time.
