  1. Can anyone explain the difference between a shot in the foot and a foot in the mouth?
  2. , It doesn't say that at all, this is what it says, "Tigers have entered into negotiations with two more riders over the festive spell. Club officials are refusing to be drawn on their identity but they’ve been forced to rethink their plans after missing out on Danish star Lasse Bjerre who has joined Peterborough." no mention of uncertainty of the club running but don't let that stop you misquoting, after all this forum thrives on it.
  3. So Sheffield should have signed Rosen, fantastic, a NL guest at Owlerton every Thursday whilst he's riding in Sweden then? I don't know but they've all got six fingers and toes! Perhaps they're from that place near Newcastle, Nothumbsere!
  4. Interesting article, thank you for the link. Did you know that Steve Bacon who is mentioned as West Hams' official photographer is the same Steve Bacon who was breaking into Speedway photography on the late 60's/early 70s. He and Mike Patrick started around the same time particularly the London and Home Counties clubs and it is fair to say that the crop of photographers at that time had Speedway pretty much sewn up. Mike had a tough time but eventually got there and Steve went on to pursue other sports but you will find some of his early Speedway work in dribs and drabs in old SS's, Speedway Argus, Home Counties newspapers and some club programmes. Another useless factoid!
  5. No I think some of the rest will score some points too !!!!!!!!!!
  6. Don't you find he keeps repeating himself?
  7. My !!!! glass !!!! is !!!! still !!!!! half !!!!! full !!!!
  8. Have you ever stopped to think what your posts look and read like? You come across as a very bitter and twisted individual yet you are probably a decent person. It is beginning to look like you are harassing or inciting harassment of Hemsley and he is the sort of guy who will turn on you when you least expect it. Have you not followed the recent successful prosecutions, settlements out of court and lost civil actions following adverse public comments on Twitter? FYI here is an extract from a report on a minor complaint courtesy of BBC News; "And last year, a councillor in Caerphilly, Wales, was ordered to pay £3,000 and costs to a political rival for posting libellous comments on Twitter. People need to remember that Twitter and other social networking sites are "published" in much the same way as a newspaper, Kelcey says. "In fact publications through this type of medium are arguably worse as they stay on the internet for a long time and can be difficult to remove. There is no doubt either as to the author which makes prosecution easier. "Publications in newspapers have usually gone through an editorial process so the more dangerous remarks are likely to be edited out and there is time for mature reflection before publication," he says". Get Googling and you might just want to reconsider what could happen beyond the next 30 seconds at your keyboard.
  9. Because that would put Roynon at number 1 Charlie and he is nowhere near ready for it.
  10. No disrespect to Sheffield. just Thomas, Joe and Brendan. Wonder why nobody wants to go to Somerset on a Wednesday? Sheffield were good enough to take the fixture and they have massive injury worries but I am sure they are doing their best in very difficult circumstances, as Edinburgh found out on Friday - Sheffield don't know when they're beaten and put on a great show..
  11. Nothing so romantic I'm afraid, just the weather and the River Sheaf that was backing up to slow the pump away. Never let it be said though that a promotion didn't act in the interests of a so called supporter or is it Richard Head?
  12. Hoggy would not have said anything to damage the prospects of a decent crowd and would probably have done exactly what the promotion asked last week. Seems like the old boy got you all wound up then, how was the crowd somebody told me it was much better than the previous week?.
  13. The interpretation of the rule was 'broadened' some years ago to include riders in a declared and approved 1 - 7 that were injured in a winter meeting. New Year Classic, Telford and press and practice for example, I believe this was applied when Craig Branney was injured at Telford but the final word lies with the BSPA management committee.
  14. The criteria for sponsorship is in the guidelines issued to all clubs as I recall. Why haven't Glasgow said whether the riders met the criteria? Surely Glasgow would have known before they applied or did they mess the application up in the first place?
  15. Has he been offered a pay cut or has his deal been re-jigged to earn his money on track? Hmmmmm I wonder!
  16. Wish I had your imgination, I could then twist everything to make it the fault of the BSPA. Why don't you blame the club who didn't race him in enough official fixtures to make him an assett?
  17. Next home meeting including all the away fixtures, this fellow knows that Sheffield and Rye House pay their riders before they've been paid themselves. He did say that Scunthorpe were very good but hadn't had too much to do with them as he and RG had a disagreement. Is that convincing enough?
  18. A current PL number one told me yesterday he has asked his parent club if he can talk to Sheffield or Rye House reason being in his words they are the only clubs who appear to pay their riders on time. Watch this space.
  19. This is an incredible picture, it must have been taken the night Berwick visited last year. If you look close enough you can just make out someone running from the bar with their trousers down !
