  1. isn't this all to do with Darcy Ward and poole, lets blame them! he is in the gp's now and would miss other important meetings, he hasnt done a great deal to be honest a 6.50 average in this weak league says it all. Maybe Zengota could have come back, but other than that not much choice. like i said its all a Poole plot!
  2. hasn't emil tweeted that he is on his way to poole?
  3. if you take the in fighting between the leagues away, all the products are not good lets be honest! to halt the decline, the first thing is that you need to stabilize the situation, so that no more teams go under. This has to mean a wage structure, based on the average attendance and 90 points a match. If this means the bigger riders cant be afforded, so be it, its just die hard fans left, so will have a minimal impact. i get no pleasure in seeing a top rider half a lap ahead, its pointless. The next phase, is to be blunt ignoring all the recommendations on here because everyone has a vested interest, how to get YOUNG new fans through the gates and families, it is no longer a family sport due to the high cots of entry. The question is what do young/families want? as the average age i would suggest is at least 50+ at meetings, we need someone to answer that my kids no longer come because: its too expensive its too boring, nothing happens and when it does it from the gate the facilities are appalling, and here's the rub, they do not want to be surrounded by old people! because how un hip is that? i know the question about a single night always comes up, and not surprisingly those who suggest a night, normally its there normal night and no longer work! The last time i suggested it should be a weekend because of schools, i was rounded on "late nights will do kids no harm" which isnt the point, if the families believe that too be the case, that's all that matters. why cant it be at the weekend, like most sports and during the day? why does it have to be at night? Clearly it needs to be slicker presentation, all the delays farting around need to stop. Three hours for 15 minutes racing how boring is that. but the key question in my mind is what has to happen to encourage new supporters? clearly we cannot answer that and some of the analysis might be un comfortable for many on here
  4. how many bees fans go to football? not been since they left highfield road
  5. Davey Watt says the track is poor and is a disgrace, that's why he got 1010. oh hang on can i see the future?
  6. 1. agreed 2. he wasnt trying he came took the money blamed the track and f**Ked off 3. he was helped onto the bike, just shows pride for a team 4.Watt has achieved ZERO in his career a journey man at best 5 if you were there ANYONE could see he wasn't trying 6 Aussies are self imploding, Wards a drunk, batchelor moans watt is useless and even holder admits that "im not going out in the dirt" last weeks GP, they are taking the UK for a ride 5.
  7. harris has been great recently Rather than blaming the track, perhaps riders should look at the themselves a bit? Mr Watt RPRBritishspeedway indeed you are correct, but its riders like you that are causing it, spit your dummy out if its not bowling green smooth and basically refuse to race. coventry had two heat leaders a rider that could barley walk and two fast track reserves. you got mullered by a 17 year old who already knows more track craft than you will ever get real, give up and go home and most of all stop conning the fans of lakeside!
  8. shock horror coventry after 40 years have a track advantage! the whinging Aussies are getting tiresome, they know what they can do if they don't like it. As for watt well his away form has been nothing short of disgraceful this season, but hey you crack on and blame the track Perhaps watt sound take a ride on one of the tractors? he might get more points, four wheels a bit of stabilization going on! this from a team whose track isnt even the right shape! but that doesnt count i suppose
  9. i think its a fair point that within an "elite league" contract, the rider should be available for at least 80% of the meetings, programmed at the start of the season. this should apply to double uppers as well. mind you would there be enough riders then?
  10. I dont see what the ref did wrong? its about time riders stopped messing around and get on with it, Worrall wasn't at the tapes before the two minutes, it was quite clear from where i was, obviously he had made it plain he wants all riders up at the tapes for two minutes. in the later heat when greaves was excluded, the clock wasn't on and the starting official was on his phone to confirm only three riders. batchelors attitude stank the place out the pathetic fall was so childish. the two minutes is the rule well done to the ref for actually using it! on a different point im sure heat two only had three laps can someone check?
  11. except Micheal became world champion, darcy just complete waister
  12. quite why anyone went in is beyond me! arrived at the stadium 7:20 the local area looked like a scene from Noah! checked the internet start delayed till 8pm, right ok that means the blade is coming out, in reality it would start till 9pm at the earliest and a farce would be the result. decided at 7:35 to head home
  13. we still have half the home matches to run with a month left, all these early cancellations/track being crap is going to hamper us i feel in the push for top four
  14. actually i do. i have not seen poole since 2010 and have no intention of seeing them again.
  15. so i assume you are a professor at NASA then? or did you aim lower?
  16. why not Saturday afternoon? most sports do this how much cross over between football/speedway fans is there? if many people complain about the speedway entrance fee, then i would guess they couldn't afford football which is much more expensive. this is where research into the speedway population needs to be done and fast
  17. sorry yes it does one night a week, 20% of the school term tired, great idea no i am not a teacher! if your happy for them to underachieve then crack on
  18. really? apart from the premership? all the other leagues have a massive reduction
  19. remember when Coventry ran for one season on a Thursday? crowds more than halved. if it was to be one night it would need to be a Friday or a Saturday, so that children who go to school can go! no way meetings ending at 10pm that i would take the kids mid week. and if kids cant go then were up the creek anyway how many tracks can run on those nights? any other night and your just making it worse IMO
  20. i think? its an open secret that sandhu is buying from himself, for financial reason i can guess but would not speculate on an open forum. i don't know the figure, but if you can prove that you can remove the covenant by spending £1million on a new stadium, thus release the true value of the land, i expect its very easy to get the money.
  21. you have to prove the covenant is "dead" before you can build yes and it "outranks" planning permission either you close it down and wait 10 years before we al give up, or you agree to move and pay for a development then it becomes dead and you can build. those are the two options.
  22. the land without the motor sport covenant is worth £20million. Planning permission can be given BUT the covenant always takes precedence in terms of land deals. until you can resolve this issue you cant build, hence the reason why they are looking for a new site. new site covenant is "dead" hello £20million. this is what its always been about
  23. i was in M11 when bomber won, great surrounded by poole fans even better!
  24. that's what i was looking at M7 not start finish line at all! thanks
