  1. so to attract the 11-16 age group, i think you need to embrace what a teenager wants.. Something cheap, it goes without saying, short concentration, which shouldn't be a problem, but is when 15 minutes takes 3 hours! midweek tracks must finish much ealier, always struggled with my three waking up dead tired for school, doesnt go down well, so should finish no latter than 9pm. so the messing around should be reduced. once the pit door is closed that's it, no going back, 30 seconds back for tapes. i always struggled when a teenager to go to the speedway and go out at the weekend, just a question why cant meetings be during the day at the weekends? i would say no teenagers would want to be seen next to "bobble hat train spotters", neither do i come to that, so perhaps a reduced price for a "teenage/student" area, so that when they take facebook photos they are not surrounded by pensioners! entrance price to include a burger and coke? dare i say the betting word? at track betting only? seems like a disease of adverts for betting apps at the moment, perhaps to survive speedway has to bite the bullet?
  2. so you really think that an article mentioning visa problems two days before he is convicted has nothing to do with each other... you dont think one of the first checks is to ask the Australian authorities if they have any information on the candidate? wake up
  3. this story now has a different spin on it now doesn't it! http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/2264/ward-waits-on-uk-visa
  4. the beauty of one of the few cash based business left! next stop the casino
  5. if the asset system collapses, lets say because of restraint of trade, then just like football, you would need a mid season transfer window, so if a riders on a 4.oo but his next GSA lets say will be 6.00, surley you cannot then stop another team coming along and offering that rider a better deal? im guessing there would be a months /weeks notice at the moment, which would have to work both ways as the riders will be fully contracted, both sides would be able to terminate contract, so you would see alot of riders moving around mid season?
  6. a simple question.... do they have to sign for a team (to become an asset that is) or can they remain "free"
  7. not seen him pulling pints at the binley park for a bit, does he not work there any more? looking at the dates i suspect i may be at the N:L more than the EL next season
  8. Nicki for me, it the whinging that holders done this season, his no saint and often wipes riders out at the corner, but doesn't like it when done to him, in fact holder/nicki i think they were split at birth!
  9. i agree that he doesn't deserve to be there on his performances, but to be honest i wouldn't go if i didn't have a brit to cheer (no matter how embarrassing it was!) easiest way out of this, because of the injuries etc, is reduce the places to 14 and have 2 wild cards. i have a first time speedway person with me (from st Austell, funny enough) and he noted that the local was "not very good" personally i think he needs to concentrate on his league form where he gets the £££££ from, because if he cant get better than a 7.70 average in the elite league over the last three years, then he needs to realise that's his level! get your league form right and the rest will follow, he should be a 9+ riders in the elite league, until he becomes one he should forget the GP's
  10. if the NZ authorities have chosen jason then thats up to them.. just because they don't want an Aussie who lives a thousand miles away its apparently wrong. the world does not revolve around the mulleted one! doesn't say much for NZ speedway and how far its fallen but then i guess people probably think that about the Cardiff wildcard too!
  11. rather than a practice seession it should be aqualifier for the main avent. top 8 from the last Gp straight through the last 8 and 8 riders who want to givce it a go battle to race the gp on the next day. considering all that goes on in domestic speedway, the gp's are a shinning light of a proffesional sport, its the only tv speedway i now what. if it wasnt for the gp's and seeing real stars i thing id have given up domestically, with the "elite" journey men teams, you need an extra eye to see the front and the back of a race now zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  12. also the difference between crump 4th and lindgren 9th was 20 points over 11 rounds, not such a big difference.
  13. thats the issue, its very easy to say Mr X shouldnt be in, but much harder to find riders to include. when you realise riders of the quality of holder grabbed the last automatic slot, then you realise how hard the gp has become and how easy the el has become. the four names seems sensible to me
  14. this does work and its very good, but you have to be out of the sky regions to get an account..... take your laptop to france get an account and then you get the stream
  15. Took your advice it looks really good on the iPad too What can't the guys in the studio use it they got it all wrong! Also used the official ip streaming site too and was quite impressed, now that the football season has started some of the free streams have become pretty poor recently
  16. if the riderts cant stay on the bike then little the team manager can do. the team itself was probably correct but the riders just sometimes dont get it. its 25 heats with only poland as opposition, so stay on your bike and come second. between scot and tai we lost probably 10 points, how can you expect to get close to poland giving them that much advantage? when you look at the playoff the same applies dont come last and dont fall off, you will then stay in touch,
  17. yes yes wolves/cradley............ Coventry rider! two in the final! pity he cant stand Pratt!
  18. has it come tho this? that i have to defend the bad boy? not a great fan of his but thought the ref was very harsh. the harris incident i thought was correct we have seen a number of occasions were harris knowing he has a slight knock takes exit stage left. the holder incident? yet again holder steam rolls under riders takes them flying, then because he has a cheeky grin gets away with it. pedersson was in front ans can do what he likes. lindback incident again think pedersson was hard done by if he had kept his ground then he would have been sent flying so wrong again ref! right thats it...... ill get me coat!
  19. http://www.soccer-live.pl/transmisje.php?id=motorsport then follow the links
