  1. having just come back from my hoiday this morning and having missed my first cardiff just seen the fight on toutube, to be frank i appreciate emil is a young man and full of fire, which makes him interesting.... but scott did nothing wrong at all, a perfectly valid move, the GP's are ough, i liked scotts right hander as well, must have hirt him smacking the helemt... can we have more of this please? that 30 seconds more drama than the whole of the danish gp!
  2. perhaps they should introduce the 15m rule for tape exclusions? what a shame i had to sit through 20 heats of rubbish to watch the semis and then nothiong happend. to quote the bbc cooking programme "it doesnt get much easier than this" i agree with the Gp format, but they have to be better than this, its like watching F1 at the moment and god thats boring. thank the heavens for streaming polish Tv, but would hate to have paid skly for that rubbish!
  3. thought the pedersson exclusion was spot on myself. although watching on polish tv couldnt understand why aj was put back in, what was the reason?
  4. i know scott decided to give the uk a miss so he could concentrate on the gps.... perhaps his concentrating too much because it was embarrasing to watch! harris league form is patchy at best, with all top riders out he should get a 10 point average at least, but doesnt seem at all consistant...... oh welcome back Hans!
  5. yes tour correct coventry was balder than a bald thing. unfortubatley all you can do is vote with your feet, ive cancelled sky this year and watch it on polish tv instead,
  6. the young folk havent a clue were this comes from anyway. when mentioned this to my misses (for she is young) she thought the nickname was how he went round the oputside do fast! my kids similarly had a clue. even guys at work with the name are called bomber..... who gives a monkies history is written by the victorious side, doesnt mesan the history you read is correct!
  7. When you look at the top 15 only 7 are what id call "international class" the numbers down to AJ, after that its just filler, so when people moan about bomber, what about the other 8 fillers? the workld championship has never been abouit the best 16 riders, remember the old days when GB/austrailia/NZ/USA all power houses at the time had to fight for a few places whilst the continental final was full of no hopers, again you got a maximuym of 7/8 class riders and the rest filler, so is it really any different?
  8. the way i look at cardiff is thats its a 50-50 split between track regulars and people who used to go to speedweay and now just go for this big one off event. i suspect it would hit this group massivley. just think of the sky adverts "come to to cardiff and support err joe a to z from polland" they would just roll up in the droves. the brtish sporting fans are fickle, if they think a brit has a chance most will get behined them, if they dont get to cardiff they wont want to support the other riders as they dont go to the league! just my opinion.....
  9. nicholls and harris have to be back in. there would be a massive drop in attendance at cardiff. what with sky and cardiff the uk bankroles the gp's so we should have at least two!
  10. im sure the cry will go up again nicholls is no good and harris dont deserve a place..... lets face facts here the british supporters and british TV bankroll the GP series, if that means the two brits get automatic places then so be it, even if they get 1 or 0 points each gp. cardiff gets more supporters than all the tracks put together, what does that tell us? that none speedway people go and want to see brits ride, they are not interested in joe a to z from polland, they want to see brits, sky too, if ther were no brits sky would soon get fed up as the audiences would die. they worst thing anyone could do is listen to this forum, the majority who would pay to see four flys race on an oval circuit, we are not typical! in summary: there should always be at least two places for brits, not matter how bad they get! its all about money at the end of the day
  11. it shows that you no longer have to ride in britain to be good. the reason why this is because the league is so poor now in terms of quality the best have little to prove. no longer an elite league
  12. just seen the line up not many good riders there, i see now why people are saying richardson would get through!
  13. i think the big concern is that next year the final is in the Uk, i assume coventry but thats not the point. as a nation we are going backwards, the odds that next years final will take place without the home nation is strong, unless of course the rounds are rigged! if you rank the nations in terms of quality Denmark Australia Polland Sweden team GB czech russia hungry so unless we get to the final we will be drawn next year against 2 of the top 4, meaning in all likely hood the play off will be against australia sweden team gb another basically were out......... unless the draw is fixed!
  14. once i stopped expecting team GB to perform and started cheering for the swedes and the czechs it became a very entertaining meeting, you just need to know where to look. not sure weher the next GB world champ is coming from but certainly not from these 5! scott nice chap great team capatin, rubbish in the gp, not up to the top level chris, gives the worlds top 10 at least a bikes length head start and then wonders why he cant score, cant see this changing lee, showed promise, now borttles it under pressure simon, should learn how to ride speeedway before he gets in the team, outclassed olly, bless his sole tried hard but way out of his depth we have an elite league that isnt elite so these riders can make a living by being average, most would struggle in the top legues and would earn justenough for a turnip! until the top league of britain becomes of a similar strength to the rest of europe, the GB riders will be forever swimming in the shallow end.
  15. having pre paid my entry was £12.37 for 25 heats not bad, normally £15 for 15 heats!
  16. are team GB just a bit thick? it took 15 heats for them to work out that olsen was in charge and err the tracks as bold as steve johnstone! it was obvious this was going to happen and yet they were unprepared! didnt help that the stand was empty so home straight noise, mind you for £35 quid what did they expect! i know im biased but Allen was the best brit, tried hard out of his depth but gave it all, lets be honest kennet or woffinden or whoever would have been at the back also. they just expected the track to be like the normal brandon track, the evidence is in AJ's scores who was also struggling, you would expect around 13 points!
  17. im a disgrace and proud of it! the fake limping winging big headed moaning, err fantastic crowd drawing pillock! is that enough of a disgrace? he loves it as much as we do!
  18. because paying for 4 tickets i dont want them to be "blooded" in front of the british paying public. the team picks itself kennet is generally pants round coventry
  19. having seen the replay footage. the only thing i agree with is that he made a decision, i dont like the all four back, its a ref chickening out. However rather suggest the ref is an idiot, as i assume he has lots of experience? What about the alternnative? all the bad decisions favoured a certain rider...... go figure! £££££££££
  20. whilst not a big stead fan, clealry he should be in the team nicholls harris richardson stead kennet/woffiden/allen having cued for over an hour last year to get in, ive already bought my tickets this time!
  21. hi, just worked out that my other half has me down to be away on holiday staying with friends in cornwal on the grand prix weekend However there house is just outside st austell...... are there coaches from St Austell that are going to cardiff, that i can get a seat? paying not a problem, ill just be on an all day fishing trip thats all! Anyway if someone has contact details etc that i can phone thanks in advance phil
  22. its fair to say the ref was rubbish, some of the starts were shocking, the track was a disgrace too! bomber was unlucky in that decision, but what do expect scott to do? play tp the refs whisttle personally i thought it should been a count back on race wins, but dont think they had enough fingers! what would they have done if 5 were on the same score? yes it was a bad refs decision but all riders should be used to that!
  23. steve for once we agree. all i wanted was scott to get in front of hans and block block and block again! so hans lost the world cup for denmark, it was his reponsibilityy he blew it, coulsnt happen to a nicer guy
