What a disaster anyone who thinks this is good news needs to think again First meeting maybe most will turn up Then Crap track No facilities Impossible to get a good view Freezing Realisation that this was the plan all along Impossible to park Crowds drop We will never get back Cradley mark 2 Its already the end
-
i think the Belle Vue Bees is on the cards here
-
the fact that the statement came from the bspa says it all, the team will turn up either Leicester or belle vue... unfortunately i wont turn up anywhere
-
i know my name is on one!

what is his goods thou? to my old knowledge those floodlights were there pre 2004 (ie sandhu) so unless they have been specifically split out then they are part of the stadium and not "his goods" similarly the seats they are 30 years old! also didnt we have a meeting a few years back that paid for the air fencing? again this implies its part of the stadium!
-
the way this works is that you need to get into the local plan which is updated every three years, they have not requested or indeed been accepted into the latest three year plan, so i suspect this is where the timescales has come from
-
Interesting piece by Mr Heaver, as with all things we no longer trust anyone. The bit around the Ochiltree estate needing to sell the property rings true to me and what i have previously been told. funny thou pre 2004 i remember the lighting and the seats being there, so the idea that these were separate assets from the stadium doesn't make sense at least then. I also believe that sandhu had to sell the site because he became "over stretched" why else would you sell a piece of land that once (if) it gets planning permission is worth around £25M and not the £2m it was sold for. The murky bit for me is is that he admits that Brandon was never plan A, meaning someone has leverage over them to stay, a condition of sale perhaps?. Either way is clear that perhaps Horton yet again got outmaneuvered and fell into their trap and immediately started to make the stadium unusable. If it was for the Councillor i suspect making it very plain that no planning permission would be granted until at least three years, and thankfully the coventry telegraph making this a big issue (lets ignore how accurate the stories are that doesnt matter) bad publicity around "sharp" business practices is not something any business wants the smell of, so my gut feeling is that this will be resolved before the new season. not forgetting that Sandhu chose Mick Horton and new exactly what he was getting, the idea that he was the only promoter that would have been interested is nonsense, so he knew what he was getting, basically you hired him so no sympathy im affraid
-
so Mick Horton was driving the trucks was he? utter nonsense of cause its sandhu's fault. whatever the contract status he is the one who has took a bulldozer to the place no one else.
-
lets be clear here, many people dont like Horton, but he is not the one who has trashed the stadium . For sandhu to stand up and says he "loves speedway & Stox" but then completely strip the venue is showing his true colours Even IF sandhu is correct in that those things were his assets, the damage caused in removing them is the issue that i suspect has gone to the police. but please no more of this lets sandhu run the speedway. sandhu sold the stadium to brandon estates (many are still of the opinion he sold it to himself) for whatever reason they only wanted one lease holder and chose the speedway (if sandhu is so great why ddnt they choose him?) The Stox then had to agree a sub lease with the speedway, ie sandhu and Horton, this couldn't be agreed (again who really knows why or cares), sandhu then strips out his assets but in the process damages the stadium ie brandon estates assets. so yes it is a police issue,
-
except of course the small detail of who picked Mr horton to run the bees? why Mr sandhu!
-
we are in constant contact with him via facebook, from the previous mediation he was quite taken aback by all the thanks he got, the press release also confirms three years!
-
what rip out seats that are worth nothing? tractors i can understand, the armco yes because its only really stox, but rip out the electrics, irrespective of who is right it just shows how much he really cares about the stadium, ie zero!
-
two possible stories: either they are both (Horton & Sandhu) up to their necks in it and its all been a pantomime to re locate us to Leicester (no Leicester signings yet) or Horton is inept but Sandhu is a nasty vindictive piece of work. Little value would have been taken out and it exposes the lie to "promoting the stox" take your pick
-
no, because that will mean there is no local need for a stadium and it will be pulled down....
-
sorry why is this Hortons fault? lets get back to basics who wants to knock the stadium down and always has why Mr Sandhu! its his fault and no one elses just using this as an excuse to do the dirty work
-
you dont need a number one to win the league, but good reserves you do )or at least 1!) remember the first leg play of final against belle Vue? i think crump scored a faultless 21 point maximum, we didnt even attempt to go after him, just the rest of the team belle vue ended up with 37 points!
-
it is a big drop on quality for the top league. Coventry's terrible 1-7 from last year would now be 57 points! replacing kasprazak with a 3 point rider would just about do it
-
my mistake as mentioned earlier is just adding 1.4 not times it
-
OK so Chris holder now has an average greater than 12, lets wait and see the amendments come in quick and fast!
-
all the firms i have/do worked for are in the FTSE top 100, but i then agree about the quality of the employer!
-
so have i and in 30 years in work my partner/wife has never been paid for, guess its sign of the times!
-
from what ive heard one rider too many as well!

Coventry Vs Kings Lynn 16/09/2016
philfromcov replied to SCB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
what a shocking team, far worse than 2004 and my god that was rubbish. we cant end with such utter garbage can we? -
i can see why he wants to go. career has stalled needs a new challenge to kick start him good luck to him, all the issues around the stadium as well, might as well go now. not keen on the sell bit, (even if someone would?) all a bit SISU!
-
from what ive heared it will be six man teams next year and apparently a 12 team "top" league, but not sure how any team would step up. personally to get back to weekly meetings id be quite happy for GP riders not to allowed, the quality of them compared to the rest is an embarrassment now and quite boring to watch
