  1. Pleased for the main man tonight, he deserves it and despite saying he is fully fit, you should have a look at his arm sometime.......as for Mr Shovelar saying he's boring, perlease. Leigh Adams. Now he's boring. Anyone catch the 'don't do that' when Ryan tried to put champagne down his neck!!! Though Mr Andersen did well tonight, yup I know he rode his luck, but he ain't had much this season so far.
  2. Of course there is a subsidy from Sky, it's alternatively know as 'part payment for your number one subsidy'. This year it was £60k.
  3. The Brits did ok and that should be acknowleged - however I still stand by what I say in that the SWC is pointless and should be run less often and only include teams that are up to standard. Did I mention elsewhere about the ridiculous pricing structure and low crowds not doing any favours for anyone.
  4. Like the British GP the cost of admission for the Danes is ridiculous.....this reflects in the attendance. If BSI aren't careful they will shoot themselves in the foot. PUT THE BLOODY PRICES DOWN YOU FOOLS!
  5. That's what I've heard......if true, get your money on the Danes at 7/1!!!!
  6. I think that BSI have raised the profile of the sport by a long way. However, I do think BSI are beginning to lose the plot a little. The British GP has now almost become "middle class" and more in tune with the prawn sandwich brigade. The absurd admission prices this year and the geographical location of Cardiff (not to mention the ridiculous prices of the hotels), mean that the "working class" (or your average Speedway supporter in the street) can not even consider going. This is reflected in the falling attendances.
  7. The BSPA are currently paying someone £500 a day - yes a day, and they have done this since before the start of the season - to promote the sport better. I would have to say they are not getting a very good return for their money. A typical failing is the Sky promos for the Elite League this season, some riders have their clubs colours on, some look like they been dragged through a hedge backwards - surely this guy had some input into this? I could go on (and on), but until Speedway's hierachy start looking at the sport as a whole and not just their own clubs interests, then it will never progress quickly. Don't even get me started on the Sky money, Eastbourne and Terry Russell!
  8. Looks like Forest Crump also had a bit of a ruck with one of Gollob's mechanics in the pits at the Danish GP. He's a smashing fellow eh?
  9. British Speedway needs a complete overhaul and a way forward presented. This should be undertaken by someone who has no bias to any club. I would suggest Tony Steele lead a team of people to do this, not CVS or any of the other muppets who are in Speedway for themselves or their clubs only.
