  1. Well I think Josh Pickering won this for the Tigers - he was sensational at the the NSS the other week too! Tigers made hard work of this! Good showing from Tom B - would be happy to see him at Foxhall anytime!
  2. I was thinking of going to this but think I will pass and go Monday instead. If the Tigers don't win this then they need to have a long hard word with themselves!
  3. Edwards beat Ben Cook last week - he’s a handy rider - if speedway was ridden on paper then maybe but it isn’t ! meeting entirely as predicted however - it’s probably for the best this wasn’t televised as the actual match that was wasn’t bad - I have no idea if the racing was any good at Owlerton - I really couldn’t be bothered to go down!
  4. Enjoyed that match some decent races - not for the first time you can’t help but wonder if KL could stop sodding about for half the season they could actually be contenders one time!
  5. If it is a Lions V Tigers I am inclined to agree here - Leicester can be very good at Owlerton as can a full strength Witches of course but I can’t see the Lions losing to Ipswich.
  6. anyway - Batch for 2025 anyone?😃 I'd also welcome Brennan at Foxhall always seems to do well anyway to find positives - good showing from Dan T who hasnt enjoyed the best of Augusts for the Witches 2 wins good to see and Keynan and Jordan continuie to outscore their reserve counterparts
  7. nail head hit! Not going to lie there are times when i feel he should and could do better but overall he isnt the reason why things have gone wrong in 2024
  8. You will win this on the first leg alone - Lidsey this season hasn't been great at Owlerton, and whilst Tom always gives it a go I cant see beyond say 55+ for Sheffield - shame as its a dead rubber!
  9. He was known as 'Awesome Richard Lawson" when he was at Arena, he rides most tracks well to be fair so could take his pick, he'd fit in well at Ipswich too! 🙃 Well done KL, sometimes you think they stopped all the shenanigans etc they could possibly be in the mix one time to get into the play offs, Kings Lynn seasons seem to have periods where they ride well and they get results - which is hard to place into context when calls off and other stuff occurs!
  10. I do very much agree with that - Speedway as a live spectacle is never replicated from your armchair, what really doesn't help is all the stupid camera angles and producers trying to be clever, I often preferred the old videos from the 80s-90s that often showed the meeting from just one or perhaps two camera angles. TV speedway production is often very poor and clearly not run by people who know and care about the sport. I think BSN are probably about the best when it comes to the TV / streaming work and thats because they are fans! You are also right about BV being bobbins - Bewley and Cook excepted, you would think BV would be better at Sheffield but there you go.
  11. I can only assume people have never experienced cracked, broken or damaged ribs! However if they are as suggested them i'd be surprised if he is fit enough to ride for a week or two at least! Of course what would helped is if the Bv management had got their backside into gear and updated people properly after the lunchtimne meeting, it finished about 2pm and they have 5 hrs to get some form of update out.
  12. The way Lawson is riding he could be a good option - he rides Foxhall well too
  13. Be close, I had this one down as the only match the Witches might have a chance of winning in their run in to ther end of the league season.
  14. Not particularly commenting on the issue of guests or riders missing - but re Kurtz - a couple of people around me did say he wasnt his usual self at the NSS - having had a cracked rib or two in the past they are very painful - painkillers and adrenaline may well have got him through this AM but once they wear off he may well have decided his couldn't ride tonight - who knows, the trouble is silence from official sources doesnt help the rumours! Given how well run the entire event at the NSS is i find it surprising that the skipper missing the 2nd leg wasn't bigger news and properly annouced!
  15. It’s what we pay our money for - today at the NSS we had some cracking heats - The Holders Dan etc - sadly BV tonight - Dan B excepted weren’t really up to it!
  16. Witches had been very impressive at Owlerton this year - I’d say only Leicester right now stand in the Tigers way for the title - Bv not good enough tonight and struggled to win this AM!
  17. He was trying to block him to let Jenkins through from what I could see good effort by the Witches
  18. Maybe so but it was still a decent defensive ride - when Blodorn tried to get past Thompson you felt that it was almost by accident that Thompson blocked him off. Ben cook does like the inside line he tried the same in heat 14 on Josh this morning!
  19. How Bewley stayed on there was impressive I thought he was a gonna! sadly apart from that race it really is gate and go as proved when Cook and Bewley got out in front of Chris Holder and Josh! unfortunately due to The aces bad start this meeting was over ages ago
  20. Wasn’t just me then - I thought I was having a seizure for a moment
  21. I feel I may have made the correct decision to go to the NSS and not Owlerton tonight - so far not a patch on the noon match. Interesting that two riders look completely different to the morning - Kyle Howarth and Voulas - I suppose that’s home track advantage for you
  22. Goodness the Ipswich team looks nothing like it should - if Brum can’t win tonight I don’t think they ever can
  23. Yes decent attendance 2k+ I would have said - the chap I sat next to in the fourth bend area of the grandstand said normally I have this area to myself!!
