  1. don't get me wrong he is still very good, but in the Prem I'd put those two ahead even if they do come unstuck occasionally v's Wolves!
  2. And to be honest Lindgren in my view ain’t as good as either!!!
  3. He is certainly one of the reasons you won 10+3 from him was a match winning performance - twice he gated with his partner for 5-1s - ciritcal one was heat 14 - he was under a lot of presure until danyon and Ben got in eachothers way.
  4. To be fair he did what was expected of him tonight he was trying to make a pass in heat 14 (probably all too late by then) but Danyon got in his way. The weak spots tonight were King - you do need more from your no 3 and sadly Ipswich really need another reserve who will at least get 2-3 points, it could make all the difference. But lets give credit to Wolves - they are certainly a decent team and will be in the playoff final in my view.
  5. Track was dry as a bone and after heat 8 the Wolves were gating the Witches were not!
  6. Manager needs to manage tonight yes!! weather suns out in Colchester now no issues I wouldn’t have thought just traffic related ones maybe
  7. seen some of the races on facebook and yes it does look a great circuit!
  8. Hope to be present for this one - looking forward to it - going to be tough! Wolves seem on form right now - will need Jason and Emil to be high scoring no real room for them to drop points!
  9. Thats a broken finger I feel, not going comment on if he could have continued to ride or not - but I have had broken fingers and also a thumb at various times playing rugby / football and I can assure you it is very painful and can restrict hand usage / co-ordination etc
  10. Quite another friend took 2 of his three sons to Wembley yesterday, I shudder to think how much that all cost!
  11. A friend of mine who is a season ticket holdert at Owlerton with his son - they took an extra 3 along last week to the Kings Lynn match as it was only £1 so the offers possibly do work.
  12. Well I for one will be gutted - used to enjoy going there in the late 80s we holidayed in Shropshire for 2-3 years and my old man took me to both Wolves and Cradley - losing Cradley was bad and losing Wolves would be just as bad - I remember a Wolves Cradley 45-45 draw in 1989 I think it was - one of the very best meetings I ever saw!
  13. Well I enjoyed that - slightly mystified that the adverts break just shows replays - also some odd gaps in the presentation but otherwise for a neutral it was an enjoyable close meeting - well done both sides I like them showing the odd races from Peterborough as well - and Scott was a decent expert in residence with his analysis.
  14. Wasn't at this one but will be there 1st June - Good night for Danyon again, seems that meetings are the same as last year - lots of narrow home wins seem to be the order of the day - a different style of team building doesn't appear to have affected that outcome!
  15. Apart from the season he had at Peterborough and then a couple at Lakeside (but yes he was a Wolves man through and through really!) Great rider and great guy too - he was very popular down at Arena
  16. He rode a lot of tracks well, IMHO a very under-rated rider - always good at Owlerton and of course who couldnt forget his fantastic last bend pass on TRick in 2000 British GP at Coventry!!
  17. pretty much - i watched it and could see that just prior to the tapes moving Masters was still the moment the tapes move he is off - had he moved a split second later he'd probably have missed the start thats how 'perfect it was'
  18. having watched it about 3 times now _ i do think he may have just got that timing spot on actually!
  19. if you get in the play offs (which I think you will) you have every chance - you could get a fair few BP's for the aggregate score this year! But lets see early days yet the table is a bitskewed for you guys as you have had home matches and 2 away!
  20. I only saw it once - it was either absolutely perfect timing or he got an absolute flier - my initial instinct was he's got a flyer there! He was a bike length ahead after about 1 yard! however in the interests of balance and fairness i am going to watch it again if they include it on theavailable download on discovery+
  21. Thats good the crowd was OK, I know Ipswich used to suffer terribly when the sky lot were in town years back - I have never yet been present at a TV meeting but th delays and everything make its seem like its not worth it - at least at football / Rugby matches they have to keep to time.
  22. This 100% when I attended a meeting I usually watch from a fixed point - the constant camera changing drives me nuts!
  23. Certainly his best days are behind him, however at the start of the season he was scoring wise your top rider! He does appear to have dipped in recent meetings however. First the first time this season last night you had the benefit of a proper No 1 and it showed!
  24. how was the crowd to normal? - in the old days sky meetings were notorious form ruining the crowd - that coupled with seriopus in meeting delays cant be great for fans on the night. It looked fairly decent - one of the mpre embarrasing things is seeing minimal amounts of spectators for a TV match.
