  1. ‘Kin ell someone’s truly wazzed over yer chips haven’t they!
  2. Whilst I don’t ever condone it - it did mean the Wolves were going to win the meeting and it was fairly clear he wasn’t going to be injured - I agree tho I don’t like it either!
  3. Yes decent night for the home side - Sheffield not helped by only having 5 riders and also some just didn’t turn up tonight but the home side can only beat what’s in front of them - 2 weeks ago everyone would have said no chance of a home win
  4. Few things: it starts with his son taking his first laps at leicester leads to him saying more needs to be done to encourage UK / British youngsters - he wants to see more made fom the RS scheme. he goes onto say that at times over the last 25 years he felt he has been treated badly - he had always kept things to himself but now is the time to say stuff. Of the 13 clubs he has ridden for - 5 have gone forever! He riles aginst the fact that riders can just be sacked on the whim of a promoter / fans he feels the security issue has gotten worse over the years with sides being chopped and changed often at a moments notice in the pursuit of glory. He cites various British riders as not being in teams at the start of the year or being sacked / dropped regularly - People like Drew Kemp, the Thompson Twins etc. He says that riders get banned for withholding services if they are owed money yet they can be sacked at a moments notice with absoluterly no rights in law - suggested he was owed and still is 18-20k by Rye House. He also says that contrracts heavily weighted in a promoters favour - they can be sacked for drugs / alcohol testing etc but makes no reference of being sacked for not scoring enough points yet it happens all the time. He also said most riders want the ruling brought in that a big name star can't be brought in for the playoffs at the expensive of an existing no1, or existing rider. There is an assumption out there that this will quite probably happen again! This was described as top stars out 'trophy chasing' and 'money making'
  5. no last week, I just bought a copy today - will post a summary up later -
  6. I had Leicester down as securing their play off place winning away at Peterborough - that might not happen now! whilst anything is still mathematically possible you have to go all out and try to gain that win!
  7. Witches need the win, its not impossible but will be difficult as Wolves seem to be in decent form, then again they drew at home with Peterborough a few weeks ago so anything is possible!
  8. You had no chance a few weeks ago - today I would say you have a chaace of a slender home win! I am actually looking forward to it anyway as a sort of neutral here i just want to see a good close meeting with decent racing!
  9. where was this available? be interested in seeing it again - very glad Danny was up and able to resume racing given poor Dans experience in heat 2
  10. It was a good crowd last night (highest of all my visits this season) and due to the long gap in racing there was plenty of time for the riders to do the collection - but it is a fantastic amount for sure - I even got a 'Thanks Mate' from Doyley as I put my fiver in! Wishing Dan a speedy recovery as he was a miss last night. As for Klindt He does ride Foxhall well - his move on Danny King wasn't great and before that I had been thinking maybe he would be a good rider to sign for the Witches. He was the only rider to lower Emils colours but that was manily as he completely missed the start in heat 13
  11. I would say he has to be worth a reserve spot in the PL next year from someone - 'ceteris paribus' and all that!
  12. If ever there was a meeting of two halves he had that kind of meeting - he was on the pace in heat 1 but simply couldnt match Emil. in his 2nd ride he gated last and had worked his way past Mountain and Riss - it was the final lap and he was trying to reel in Danny when he vanished into the fence on the 2nd bend final lap -. Then in his next ride he pulled up at the back and then was pulled from heat 13! Odd in my view.
  13. This was quite funny as he was looking over his shoulder and checking for Danyon then he fell and vanished so next time he looked round he saw a Kings Lynn rider and suddenly went oops i better get a move on, Doyley is certainly popular it took him ages to do his ben fund collection and everyone wanted piccies and selfies etc with him - and he found time for all of them!
  14. Happened right by me rode through and barged Danny out the way for sure - at least he rode round to check on him and Danny just threw his arms up as if to say WTF!!
  15. Ok Emil just broke the Track record in heat 1 and Artem was 2nd
  16. Well Laguta is……… the witches are operating a guest for Kevin Long!!
  17. Not too much actually just hanging around on here like a stench in a drain - speedway it drives you mad but you still love it! Enjoy the meeting I am off to Foxhall soon!
  18. This was a cracking meeting last time made all the better by a very large leicester contigent - almost sorry to miss it - Hopefully Laguta will be at Foxhall and beef up the stars a bit!
  19. There is a car park not far from Hillsborough corner / - my guess is 5-10 minutes at max walk which will include waiting at the traffic lights on Penistone Road by Owlerton! Will PM you the location
  20. even in the Arena-Essex days the openess was never truly open - I remember the fudge over the late Malc Simmons 'injury' anyhoo bright sunny day - hoping for a good meeting tonight and a Laguta v Emil battle
