  1. agree - on their day either is capable of beating the other - Bewley didn't have a great day in Poland yesterday, 9 from 6 as Wroclaw well beaten by Lublin.
  2. Agree in principle but meetings are not won and lost based on averages / assumptions based on how good x or y is!
  3. He is in good company - Adams etc At least he has Speedway of Nations Golds! It is a shame that he is not permitted to compete - lets hope this is resolved soon.
  4. Yeah I feel you could be right - i was disappointed at Owlerton, I expected more from him, as a relative neutral the meeting suffered as a result of his 3 from 4 rides. Then shortly after he goes a wins a GP!
  5. Take a bow Danny King as well - great end of season form, and special mention for Keynan Rew also!
  6. In you're defeat at Owlerton he seemed unhappy with his bikes but he has had all season to get this right!
  7. The reason for this stunning lead in the first leg was the fact I wasn't there! Like Mr Doyle I am touch and go for the 2nd leg too! In seriousness there must be no complacency - two opening heat 5-1s and the Aces will be right in it so maximum focus from the off! For now though the Witches will be the happier of the two sides.
  8. I was there for 2 of those Peterborough meetings - one which included the super heat win - the other thing about Chris is he is always capable of pulling out a big score whereever he rides, his best days are yes behind him now but never discount his ability to score points and entertain! added to say which is probably why he gets so many guest bookings - that and an ave that fits!
  9. Whilst we may never know if Bomber had been any good or not - what you never discount is even at his age / stage of his career he always to pull out some big scores. I kind of glad the weather won last night, id decided not to travel anyway - next week may give Doyley the chance to be fit how knows - I'd rather see him ride if he is fit lets hope he is.
  10. This forum proves that also - on another note i used to post / a member on football forums and if you think the speedway forum was bad then you havent seen owt! There were people on those places who had no understanding of football rules / laws etc. Its sunny here across the Pennines right now but rain is due later - I am in two minds about travelling to the NSS today
  11. I bet - well lets hope a week off and he is fully recoverd! TY for the news!
  12. I find its best not to delve too deep into all sports! None of them are truly whiter than white! Juts go along and enjoy, as with most things in life you can find things to whine and moan it in every situation, so its best to try and just enjoy the event. This!
  13. Disaster!! I am praying for rain now so Ipswich can track Doyle and Emil in the re-runs is there any update on Doyley?
  14. Come on its Manchester! But you are right both BV and Ipswich have either run meetings when it seemed they would be called off - its very gloomy the forecast however.
  15. Regardless of next year its been a privilege and a pleasure to see both Emil and Jason riding this season. (both riders are great with the fans) It's also been great to see most teams tracking a proper decent no 1 as well meaning heat 13 and 15 is usually exciting / extertaining. It almost has vibes of the late 80s early 90s when the latter heats were packed with the top riders.
  16. Me too - I still recall that post match chat with him at Monmore all those years ago! Pleased he got to lift the cup as skipper too
  17. I seem to recall that he was similarly magnanimous and classy in the playoff final last season after the loss to BV! on another note it seems so odd that this time last season Lewis Kerr was riding for Sheffield in the playoffs having left Kings Lynn and yet last night Kerr having ‘left’ Sheffield recently was riding for erm Kings Lynn at Peterborough.
  18. Now about Monday night!! A more successful era for the Witches - pairs last season and the cup this season - and maybe playoff final but let’s not get giddy!! one could say that they are being rewarded for sticking and not twisting who knows but I plan to be there Monday!
  19. Runs in the family too - Jack never does well there either
  20. Well done witches been following on the updates - thought they were going to make hard work of it but in the end seemed fairly comfortable. Genuinely pleased To see King and Rew have good scores tonight! Hard luck Tigers 48-42 didn’t seem like enough but complacency for the Witches could have seen a different result
  21. So sad - he was a top rider at NL level and regularly scored far too many points for Eastbourne at Arena! Thanks Gordon for the entertainment all those years ago
  22. Won’t be there as in Devon on holiday - next meeting for me is at Belle Vue on Monday so just maybe the Witches have a chance in this!! good to see good scores from Danny and Erik both have had their troubles and critics this year! hold steady witches can do this - but so can Sheffield no room for complacency!!
