Gotta have Lawson and Hagon in the side for sure. Apart from the last three heats at BV last night they have been pretty solid these last few weeks, last season they crashed after the Nick Morris incident and dropped out of the playoffs - this season they did an Ipswich in that they came into form later made the playoffs and the final! The team is well balanced the weak(er) spots seem to be they need a stronger reserve, and maybe a better no 1 for away tracks - Fricke doesn't quite quality on that front for me based on this season.

Just like in 2023 this tie isnt over after the first leg, however at only 8 down with 3 to go Leicester would have been very happy - last 3 heats were a disaster for them! Get a couple fo 5-1s in the first 3-4 heats and its all to play for on Thursday! If i wasnt going to Devon on holiday the next day id be very tempted to make the trip for this!

Holder hasnt been great in the GP's for the last 2-3 so maybe he is just not quite up to his usual standards, I saw him at the NSS at the end of Augst he was great and he scored well in the return that night. BV had their gating boots on that night - Kurtz for example flew out of gate 3 in heat 1! Gate3!!!

Inclinded to agree - I don't understand why people would suggest taking Tai over Jack, one is certanly at the end of his (great) career the other is on the upward trajectory. Maybe Jack and Tai and not Chris but its hard to see where Chris would ride other than at either Owlerton or BV and he won't be at BV as I suspect their heat leaders for 25 are sorted already!

They were pretty much the best riders for Leicester on the night anyway - Douglas was their only heat leader winner too!

How many times over the years have we seen an rider return to the scene of previous triumphs only to bomb - been happening for years Leicester kept it close until the final 3-4 heats when BV either upped a gear or the Lions fell away a few good races as well - good on the riders for having a go and kudos to young Sam Hagon a really decent effort from him! if Leicester get a good start it still winnable but I expect BV to defend that!

yes good point hadn't thought of that actually! I have all the right cables etc - current Smart TV less than a year old so it will be a while but i can screen mirror etc! I wasn't thinking 'laterally' as the saying goes!

Whilst this might seem ideal this is how mediocrity sets in again, BSN get bought or absored into Eurosport and the big company producer calls the shots and we end up back where we started with poor coverage and production! I think the BSN shoudl stay independant, I am tempted to ditch discovery plus next year and get a warts and all BSN pass instead, the only thing that stopes me is what app would stream BSN on a smart TV as i dont really want to watch on my computer or ipad. The issue with ES for me seems to be no one involved seems to either understand or care about speedway, its just another recording job and it shows! Helmet cam is perhaps fine for a replay but its such a ludicrous feature when the race is ongoing and it drives me mad. I think Abby is fine as a presenter - not the best but certainly not thr worst!

Hes had a very good play offs but when i saw him at Sheffield earlier in the season I think he got 4 so lets not lose our heads here!

Well my prediction was wrong - fair play to BV - Kurtz gave two captains rides in my view heat 1 and then heat 13, Hope Ben Cook is ok!

Hopefully lots of landing of blows and widing it on around the outside too! Seriously lets hope for a belter!

Last heat 5-1 makes the 2nd leg more interesting for sure at say 49-41 or less I’d be predicting a Sheffield v Leicester Final the aces have a chance to defence this but I still think Sheffield will get through overall! good nights entertainment however thanks to all the riders for having a go!
