Unless you are dining at MacDonalds most restaurants are pay after you have eaten - maybe speedway should be pay on exit -

Gate three isn't known as the 'graveyard gate' for nothing even when the track is perfect ypou never have a chance! Hope to be there for this and expect a home win by maybe up to 10pts -

It states 'tapes up' as what I would call the parade or meeting time for all meetings on the BSPA website! -

I’ve looked and the the meeting preview for Sheffield V Belle Vue it does say 7.30 - however in the lower down part of the page page it does say tapes up I feel that should say meeting start time! That’s the BSPA to my mind -

It’s fairly standard for the start time to be before the first race normally due to the parade of riders - I will be at Owlerton (weather permitting) on Thursday the meeting starts at 7.30 and I know the first race is about 10-15 minutes after that! -

I am sure you’d be right but you confuse me with someone who really cares that much to check it - let’s just hope it’s not raining Thursday! -

Will declare now wasn't there - isn’t it the Refs job to run the meeting to time or quicker if needed? I bet old Frank Edben would have got through the meeting ok -

Apparently the (council) ruling is that racing can’t start until half past two! -

some promotions have in the past made the next meeting cheaper if you produce your ticket from the reduced meeting, or have i imainged that? Anyhoo who would think BV would get through 15 heats on and Monday BH Meeting and Ipswich not given that Ipswich is in the driest part of the country and BV probably the wettest! -
you did eventually have a Jan Pedersen riding for you tho! Seems that Birmingham started well, or maybe BV started slowly _ checked the scores after about 6 heats and saw they were competitive and doing well then it all seemed to go wrong for them!

Oxford Spires v Leicester Lions - Monday 6th May.

Tempted to treat myself to the stream as Can’t get to any live meetings today - home win but Masters will be lively for sure - 47/43 or something like that! -
Time for Milik and others who have underperformed to perform today - still think a fairly decent home win 51-39 ish

I’d be expecting a home win for sure - given you’ve just got your first win you’ve been dealt a bad hand with Tobi’s injury! -
start one - hes a great lad / rider and proof that the RS was worth doing, Dan T another too!
-
Good to see the Stars off the mark for 2024 - and Patryk Wojdylo - he was pretty terrible at Owlerton the other week and wow paid 18!

Leicester v Witches 02/05

Witches covered well in Dannys absence. still concerend with Emil heat 1 seems a bit of a write off for him think he has only one it once so far this season, plus 3-4 falls seems not like him. -

Two takeaways from this match - good to see Cookie back - he didnt really do too much wrong at Olwerton the other season and felt he was abit unlucky when they decided to make changes. The other is whats up with Magic he seems to be really struggling - expected more from him at Sheffield altho I expect all his races were tough and featured a Holder Brother or Woffinden. -
Pleased to see Cookie riding well - I recall his time at Foxhall was it 2021? I saw him ride in 2 meetings and he scored 5-14 and 5-15 so he was pretty much on it then! A confidence crisis has done for many a top sports man / woman / etc over the years so lets hope thats all behind him now.

Won’t make tonight but glorious weather here today so can’t foresee any rain off issues! Home win for me too by about ten I reckon - Holder jnr might get a max too -
Really good to see all the postive comments on the match - often after a TV meeting there is a lot of negativity. So glad Birmingham won (Nothing against BV) as well otherwise the gap between the top 5 and bottom 2 would be geting too large - just need Kings Lynn to win a few now and we might get a competitive battle for those 4 spots! We need an even and competitive league!
-
He’s developing well - hopefully being at Birmingham will help - he rides Ipswich pretty well so he’s getting there on all types of track!

Someone had to be excluded - as Chris Louis said it would have been very harsh on Pawlicki to exclude him as Kurtz dived underneath - it reminds me a wee bit of the playoff final at Owlerton (22) when TobiM charged under Oh Kurtz and down he went!
