  1. Glad I didn’t go now - I want my first NSS match to be a full 15 heats with no hints of a m Rain or call offs etc let’s just be glad this wasn’t the showcase match on TV tonight !!
  2. Anyhow moving on am watching this via updates and can see the Tigers nicking this unless Bewley gets going!
  3. It’s a risk for sure - let’s hope it goes well and doesn’t lose a shed load
  4. Lemon said in the star that the SoN is costing 1/2 million to put on!
  5. He also rode for Birmingham last year so let’s hope he will have a good meeting - if the right batch turns up then he will be ok! might be a good thing that the pick n mix witches are there before Freddie arrives!
  6. Was thinking of coming across for this but the forecast has put me off! Shame as I have yet to see a meeting at the NSS - maybe SWC or whatever it’s called nowadays!
  7. He needs consistency which will come - he rode really well at Owlerton the other week at KL he was up against much stronger reserves! A riders career rise (or decline) is never linear there will be great weeks and not so great weeks. Witches weaker - Birmingham won't get a better chance Klint (for Danny) can be really good on his day but Witches will miss JD for sure.
  8. Let’s hope JD heals quickly - having both him and Danny absent will be tough - however well done to young TomB - brilliant guest last night - if guests are needed get him booked in again! Both he and Scott should maybe be fitted for race suits!
  9. I thought i heard the bikes earlier this week! Where I live you can hear the bikes if the wind is in the right direction!
  10. Oh Pickering is a huge miss as at Owlerton he has the ability to beat the big hitters from the oppposition. Re Howarth - his scores appear to have picked up for both Scunny and Sheffield in the last week so lets see!
  11. Well Leicester may well rue that match - well done to the Tigers and very pleased to see better form for Kyle H Wasn't there tonight but for those interested - gate 3 watch - 0 2' 1 1' 1 0 0 1 3 1 2' 2 3 2' 1 (heat winners were Holder snr and Tai). Again better scoring after heat 8!
  12. Hope Doyley is ok, a reminder that things can go badly wrong for riders - thanks to Tom Brennan great performance form him tonight! Edit - great to see Emil back to form also!
  13. Definitely a tough ask tonight for the Tigers - still think they can pull off the win but Leicester will equally be thinking we can win this too!
  14. Just got back in from playing football - been raining throughout - looks like it might finally have stopped now! lets hope tomorrow is clear and dry
  15. One of the visits of Leicester in 2023 was an away win so be interesting to see how this one goes - Feel Leicester in with a chance but still expect the top three for the Tigers to win the meeting late on - if it goes ahead!
  16. Very much enjoying this so far - some good races - seems gate 3 here is about as bad as it is at Sheffield!
  17. Not withstanding any issues re certain promopters I know last year all the pre-emptive rain offs actually proved correct from memory! It was just the others that were .......
  18. well Buster is off the hook re the weather - and of course you are forgetting one thing - we all hate Leeds!
  19. I’ve been from Gt Horkesley to Brightlingsea and back this morning and it’s raining all the time and the rainfall is more now than at 9am - I suspect they made the right call!
  20. Oh well free evening for me 2nd rain off in a . Row for me at Foxhall
  21. Well regardless of Buster and his early preventative call offs it is raining North of Colchester / south of Ipswich - It suggests it should be cleared by early PM today buts lets see! I hope its on tonight at Foxhall anyway!
  22. Well for a start we need to know were Lambert will be! Lots will happen between now and the playoffs we can be sure of that!
  23. at Arena we had Rob Tilbury in the old NL days - the stinker rode for Canterbury - got in punch ups with the Chessell brothers and Andrew Silver and was just panto villan no 1 for us Arena fans- then Canterbury closed down and he signed for us in 1988 - proved a higely popular rider upping his average to well over 8 probably nearer 9 as well - always gave it 100% so we forgave him his past and he became a firm fave! (not so much his ability it was we really disliked him that I select him)
  24. get him his own kevlars! I hope to be there for this - think a decent home win - better than in the A Fixture in the likely outcome maybe 53-37ish
