  1. There was a article in the Sheffield Star saying it would be August before Jason is back. Also, Josh Bates has pulled out of a guest booking for Kings Lynn tonight after crashing in his final ride at Coventry on Friday so not sure if he's riding tomorrow ??? EDIT Jonas Andersen guests for Bates
  2. Perhaps the Coventry fans who stayed away knew something, this has been a snoozefest so far.
  3. Regarding Bates v Ellis, Whoever rides Belle Vue the best should be picked regardless of previous results, it should be horses for courses !!!
  4. Doubt we'll see a worse meeting on Sky than the Berwick meeting last week, but this one isn't far behind.
  5. It's always gate and go at Berwick so I don't know why people are surprised. Sadly Workington having a nightmare is making the meeting worse !!
  6. Got a feeling this will be far from a massive home win, Bellego, Bjerre, Skidmore and Andersen all go pretty well at Owlerton. Garrity looks like a major injury doubt for both meetings looking at the Coventry meeting preview for tomorrow. I'm expecting a close match despite Redcar's league position.
  7. Glad to see Josh Bates have a decent meeting, had a couple of big crashes at Sheffield recently and is far from 100% so to end up with 12 points is a good effort.
  8. A bit of info on Jason here: http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.3609
  9. Don't know for sure but looked liked bike problems, was doing lots of laps after the meeting was completed.
  10. By far the best meeting of the season at Owlerton. Some fabulous racing, well done to both teams for a cracking meeting. I've seen 3 epic Jason Garrity v Rob Lambert races in recent weeks if you include the British Semi Final at Scunny and heat 11 and 15 tonight, those two together is must watch speedway. Lambert's race with Steady in heat 13 was brilliant as well. Don't think I've heard a bigger ovation from the Sheffield fans for an away rider than Lambert got after heat 15 tonight, that said it all about his performance, a brilliant rider. Tigers in control of the meeting until Josh's fall in Heat 8 and that 0-5 swung the meeting through the middle part of the meeting but Tigers heat leader power told in the end, although Newcastle were probably worth a point tonight. Hope Josh is OK after his fall.
  11. Kyle Howarth 10/1 and Simon Stead 25/1 on SkyBet shouldn't those odds be the other way around ???
  12. Was always going to be a tough ask to qualify without Josh and Adam. Hopefully good experience for Max, Zach and Jack and great stuff from Lambert.
  13. Whatever the result in the semi, crazy not to put Protasiewicz in this race, the stand out rider of the meeting
  14. Garrity's best performance at Owlerton, he was superfast tonight.
  15. Barring Garrity, Tigers were poor on Saturday so I'm sure they will want to put in a good performance tomorrow. Hopefully Josh will be fit to ride.
  16. Freddie extremely lucky to be back in the rerun of heat 1, he cleaned Iversen up there.
  17. Firstly hope Josh and Seb have speedy recoveries from their injuries. Not exactly a classic tonight but great to see Dimitri get his first maximum in Tigers colours, that kid is extremely fast. The rest of the team had solid night and still don't think we've seen the best of this team at Owlerton yet.
  18. Sheffield had a stand alone sidecar meeting in 2010 and the crowd was terrible so don't think we'll see another at Owlerton.
  19. Holder just confirmed what we are all seeing that this track is terrible.
  20. Be more than happy if the Tigers carry on last weeks form and the more laps Arthur gets the better he will be.
  21. Well so far this season I've visited Leicester, Scunthorpe, Ipswich, Peterborough and Plymouth and the crowds visually haven't been great anywhere and the crowd last Friday at Plymouth was the lowest I've seen for a Sheffield meeting there. All quite worrying really and hope it picks up at those tracks during the summer. A bit more positively though, considering how vast Owlerton is, the Sheffield crowds have been fairly solid, by no means near what the club had in the 1980s and before but far far better than a couple of years back.
  22. They don't always work, I was at a world championship qualifier at Berwick a couple of years ago, they had the track covers on that day and it didn't save that meeting.
