  1. I didnt mention Danny Bird i my list as whenever he has ridden at Monmore he has looked very ordinary as he did when Wolves visited Foxhall a couple of weeks ago.
  2. A very tough decision this. It seems that the wildcards are going to go to the younger guys this season, for example you would have thought PK would have been a certainty for his home GP. As for the Cardiff wildcards Norris has started the season well and has a good average but eastbourne have only ridden 4 Elite league meetings and 3 of those were at home, so how good Norris actually is this season is still open to debate. Howe has had a difficult start to the season with changing engines which he couldnt get to work. Now he has swapped back to last seasons equipment and is improving every week. Cardiff though may be too soon for him. Barker, no has never done it and never will do. Screen , as above. Havelock i feel has had his day at the top. Harris, has done nothing this season at all to warrant a call up, although riding for Coventry in their current plight can't have done any favours for his confidence. Neath, I agree it is probably too soon for Chris to enter the big stage. However he has the desire and confidence at the moment and I see no-one better around at the moment. Stonehewer, on fire in the PL and could be an outside choice. So out of the riders in contention I would pick on current form David Norris and Chris Neath.
  3. 3 out injured and 4 replacements :?: :? :?:
  4. HEY BTL what about me  :?: We were talking for quite a while in the POW Remember I had the orange forum polo shirt on and was with my daughter Meg with the Wolves cap covered in badges. :-(
  5. Last years musis was a lot better, Let me entertain you , who let the dogs out ect ect before the meeting started got everyone going and the cameras panning round the crowd and putting them up on the big screens was missing this year :-( Maybe as this was the third running at Cardiff we are expecting more and more, however I did drive home thinking the meeting lacked that little bit on last year, saying that it is still a totally unique occasion which no other GP will equal. Why did the riders all come out together on the trucks rather than out of the tunnel one at a time like previous years :?: This also left the pre meeting parade insignificant
  6. I sat on the front row of the top tier on the second bend for last years GP and I thought the view was great. Not sure though if you are about half way back on the top tier :?:
  7. Be nice to see you again richyb. Ill buy you and FT a Stella if I see you at the pub beforehand Meg says thats if she gets some more chocolate off you first ;-)
  8. There will be a wicked Mikael Max banner draped on the seats on the 3rd bend bottom row.(not mine unfortunately :-( ) It took a week to make and was shown at the Green on Monday. Look out for it, i may be biased but i doubt if there will be a better one on display on saturday. (nice one Clare 8) )
  9. Well, I and 19 forum friends (sorry, dear friends) are in M1 hopefully waving a forum banner between rows 12 and 14, Meg and myself are amongst this rowdy lot
  10. FD are you coming to Monmore on 24th March :?: If so I can catch up with you then ;-)
  11. beegee, go into any William Hill bookies and just give the person behind the counter £5, and tell them you want it all on M Max to win the Speedway GP outright, If it happens you get back £130, (but I think Hills are safe) I think you are being a tiny bit harsh here but maybe I will bet each way do I stand a chance do you think? how much for a £5 bet if he get 2nd ir 3rd? I have to find a William Hill bookies first don't think they have one in Telford! Can I bet by phone or on the internet? If you bet £5 each way that costs £10, but if you only want £5 in total the bet would be £2.50 each way, I think the return for a place is 1/4 the odds, if that is so then you would be loking at 7x£2.50 approximately Thats right FT. A winning each way bet pays a quater of the odds
