  1. No imminent signings after Kurtz deal fell through
  2. Not sure it is now, there was two parts to the plan, but scuppered when part 1 decided to join Plymouth instead I think. Once again brilliant racing and MPT easily man of the match. Once again Greenwood disappointing and should never have been in 14 when the match hadn't been won by then. Once again a very long, drawn out meeting, with fans being seen leaving before the end.
  3. ALL SYSTEMS GO Friday May 29, 2015 PETERBOROUGH'S tough Premier League test against Berwick tonight (Friday) has been given the green light. Club chiefs say the East of England Showground surface is in good condition thanks to the super efforts of track curator Dean Wyers and his staff. The Readypower Panthers will bid to extend their unbeaten start to the league campaign against a Bandits side also in fine form. The action gets underway at 7.30pm
  4. No we wouldn't, we would have to fall back under points limit.
  5. PANTHERS SEEK BANK HOLIDAY BACKING Saturday May 23, 2015 PETERBOROUGH promoter Ged Rathbone has urged fans to turn out in force as they hit the Travel Plus Tours KO Cup trail on Bank Holiday Monday. The Readypower Panthers entertain Plymouth at the East of England Showground (2pm) in the opening leg of a first round tie. And Rathbone is hoping for bumper crowd as his team bid to put one foot in the quarter-finals by building up a sizeable advantage against a Devils team they have already beaten on three occasions this season. He said: Im looking forward to staging a big Bank Holiday meeting and Im very hopeful of a big crowd as well. We are running at a very family-friendly time. We will do all we can to provide some great action on the track and there will also be a bouncy castle to entertain the little ones. Weve been on a superb run of results of late and the lads deserve to have plenty of support. "We are also determined to have a good cup run, but we cannot afford to under-estimate Plymouth. Some people might think it will be a doddle to go through to the next round as we have already beaten them three times, but that definitely will not be the case. "They pushed us far too close for comfort on their last visit to the Showground and we cannot let that happen again. And given Plymouth have just signed Todd Kurtz, who we all know can fly around our track from guest appearances last season, they are a stronger team now. We need every bit of backing and the fans to turn out in force. Panthers set to use the rider replacement facility at number one with no suitable guest available due to the high volume of fixtures taking place on Monday. The second leg of the KO Cup tie is scheduled for Thursday, June 18 at the St Boniface Arena http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2481.2
  6. 3 home matches in 5 days is not going to go down well and unless there is some special offer I fear the attendances will be poor, particularly for this sky match. Could maybe offer all 3 for £30, 2 for £25
  7. It was asked, MCN said no. GOODWILL GESTURE http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2472.2 PETERBOROUGH bosses are to make a goodwill gesture to any Glasgow Tigers supporters affected by the unfortunate postponement of our scheduled Premier League clash on Friday (May 15). The mouth-watering contest - between two teams expected to challenge for honours - has had to be re-arranged due to the unexpected unavailability of the East of England Showground track as preparations are made for a major weekend event at the venue. Promoter Ged Rathbone has been made aware of a number of Tigers fans who arranged air travel and hotel reservations to this area with the expectation of seeing their team race at Alwalton. And, to make up for that disappointment, he will offer discounted entry to them when the meeting is re-staged. Rathbone said: "It is most unfortunate that we have had to postpone the meeting against Glasgow. "It is an unforeseen situation and one which is completely out of our hands. "We are working hard with our landlords to secure a new date for this fixture and we will be offering discounted admission to any Glasgow fans who have been left out of pocket. "Anyone who produces proof of flight booking and/or hotel reservation in the area for the original date will be admitted for £10.
  8. Would some a problem though - what are the alternatives? Rider replacement for Olly next month.
  9. Must be Sheffield for Stead as average too high for Allen
  10. Confirmed herehttp://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2469.2 Frustrating I know but I guess only told by landlords when they arrived yesterday afternoon.
  11. They had little time after show this weekend to prep the track. Clearly some early concern as the ref and two captains walked the track just before parade with all other riders peering over the fence. Just needed a bit of extra grading to even it out. 1st tractor driver had no idea and track was immediately much better after he was ordered off and Swales took over. It was a tractical substitution.
  12. The club have recieved official documentation required to confirm Robert's illness.
  13. How do you know he wasn't ill? Do you know for a fact he wasn't or, as I suspect, are you just guessing?
  14. How many more times, Allen stays top of the averages for the whole of May, it doesn't matter what Robert does this month and whether he rode yesterday or not. It's more likely to be Ully who takes over number 1 spot anyway.
  15. Or going with guests for the remainder of the season
  16. Number 1's with that sort of average will ride good wherever anyway. And it doesn't matter on away tracks of course anyway.
  17. Not ideal but can carry on picking horses for courses guests for another month if needs be, its working at the moment.
