  1. Oh dear, that's me and 3 others not going then. Send an email to Mick Horton (good luck with that).
  2. Cloudy but dry all day. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/mobile/forecast/gcpyrw97v I was going to go to this but seen its £20 entry - I'm not paying extra for a national league match I'm not going to watch. Got to get back to the Showground for the evening match now.
  3. PETERBOROUGH and Ipswich have also moved quickly to re-arrange the League Cup match that was postponed on Good Friday. It will now take place at the Showground on Easter Monday (April 6) with a 7.30pm start, giving the Panthers two meetings on the day as they also race at Rye House in the afternoon http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2422.2 PETERBOROUGH are set to face a hectic Easter Monday with a second Premier League Cup clash added to their schedule. The Readypower Panthers travel to Southern Group pacesetters Rye House at 2pm and will now need to make a swift return to the East of England Showground for a 7.30pm showdown against Ipswich Witches. Club bosses have acted quickly to re-arrange a fixture which was postponed on Good Friday due to heavy rain. And club chief Ged Rathbone is hoping for a bumper turnout for the Bank Holiday battle. He said: "We thank Ipswich for their co-operation in re-arranging our home meeting so quickly. "I'm sure a derby meeting on Easter Monday will appeal to both sets of supporters and I'm confident it will be a good occasion. "It certainly makes for a busy and exciting day as we also go to Rye House in the afternoon. "They are two very important meetings and hopefully it will be the day in which we get our first wins of 2015 on the board." Panthers will use Richard Lawson as a guest number one at Rye House with Lasse Bjerre taking over at Peterborough. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2423.2
  4. Some worrying rumours on Facebook but as it stands officiant Olly is still in hospital awaiting further results. I would guess we are waiting for those and also new averages tomorrow to know where we are at.
  5. Lewis Bridger but would require 2 changes as would put us fractionally over (even accounting for Roynon average being lower than MPT). Are there new averages issued Wednesday?
  6. You've missed the bit that states that an arrangement can be made if the NL rider is not owned by either EL or PL. Clearly an arrangement has been made where Lewis will rife all home meetings for his respective clubs. If both away he will ride for Wolves.
  7. We are on the 8.30am flight Friday morning & coming back Monday afternoon.
  8. Flying Stansted - Modlin too. Got in early with busy tickets and only paid £9 return for two There is some sort of Gollob farewell event happening in the stadium at 6pm so will try and get in for that. Fan zone starts at 12pm.
  9. Full article on Panthers website: TEAM UPDATE Wednesday March 18, 2015 PETERBOROUGH bosses are attempting to beat the clock to bring in a new face. Readypower Panthers chief Ged Rathbone confirmed the club are keen to name a short-term replacement for injury victim Adam Roynon. But any signing must be lodged with the British Speedway Promoters Association at 72 hours before a meeting. Therefore Peterborough must swoop before 1pm tomorrow for a new recruit to be available to face Somerset Rebels in a Premier League Cup Southern Group opener at the East of England Showground on Sunday (March 22). Rathbone said: We dont feel it would be beneficial to operate the rider replacement facility for any length of time. We would much prefer to go down the road of bringing in a temporary replacement for Adam. "We are still assessing our options but I must make it very clear that any signing would only be for the short-term. Adam will return to the team as soon as he is able to do so. Rathbone admitted a couple of attempts to make a signing this week have not come off. Adam Ellis, who impressed for the GB Select team as the curtain went up on the new season last Sunday, was unable to take up an offer from Panthers as it would have made him ineligible to race in the National League for Birmingham. Rathbone also attempted to persuade Australia and Belle Vue team manager Mark Lemon to come out of retirement without success
  10. Edited above - Adam hopefully back in 2-3 weeks
  11. League being made up of one match. Still they have a nice trophy.
  12. Just had a quick look at fixtures until end of April and looks like a return to the patched up Panthers. Fri 27th March Rye House Home - no Roynon, Simon, Blackbird. Friday 3rd April Ipswich away - no Roynon, Robert, Blackbird Friday 3rd Ipswich home - no Roynon, Simon. Thursday 23rd Redcar away - no Roynon, Robert Friday 24th Somerset away - no Roynon, Blackbird.
  13. I won't be happy if Robert Lambert misses the Peterborough matches on the Friday and Sunday either side of this meeting.
  14. He may only miss two Friday home matches, but he will miss three Friday away matches too.
  15. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2386.2
  16. Of our 11 matches until beginning of May Ellis could do 6, but can't do Ipswich & Rye House at home
  17. BATTLE OF BRITAIN! Saturday March 14, 2015 PETERBOROUGH Readypower Panthers are under orders to start the season as they mean to go on tomorrow (Sunday). The curtain goes up on the new campaign at the East of England Showground with our very own version of the Battle of Britain. A Peterborough team containing six British riders (captain Ulrich Ostergaard from Denmark is the only exception) lines up against a GB Select side put together by national chief Alun Rossiter (2pm start). An exciting and tough afternoon of racing is in store, but Readypower Panthers boss Carl Johnson insists a winning start to 2015 is essential. Johnson said: It has the makings of a terrific meeting to start what will hopefully be an excellent season for the club. Rosco has called on several riders who are capable of going very well at the Showground and it is going to be a tough test for our lads. But we will go into every meeting this year with the intention of winning and tomorrow is no different. There is a tremendous buzz around the place and the atmosphere at Press & Practice Day was brilliant. There is already a great spirit amongst the riders and it was great to see so many supporters turn out. We now need to ensure we do our bit with good performances and results out on the track. Peterborough are at full-strength tomorrow with reserve Simon Lambert lining up at Alwalton rather than riding for his Elite League side Leicester. Teams: Readypower Panthers: Olly Allen, Adam Roynon, Robert Lambert, Lewis Blackbird, Ulrich Ostergaard, Simon Lambert, Ollie Greenwood. GB Select: Ben Barker, Adam Ellis, Lewis Kerr, Kyle Howarth, Richie Worrall, Nathan Greaves, Lewis Rose. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2391.2&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  18. Full team for Panthers, Leicester have confirmed Simon will be riding for Peterborough on Sunday.
  19. Ben Morley replaces Simon at Leicester. http://leicesterlions.co/east-midlands-bowl-preview/ No Hans Andersen either.
  20. A good day at press and practise today, lads looked great in team kevlars. Interesting that Danny Phillips was announced as an asset and issued with team kevlars too. I assume he will cover for Simon when he is riding for Leicester?
