Peterborough V Glasgow 15 May - Postponed
Noodles replied to WembleyLion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It was asked, MCN said no. GOODWILL GESTURE http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2472.2 PETERBOROUGH bosses are to make a goodwill gesture to any Glasgow Tigers supporters affected by the unfortunate postponement of our scheduled Premier League clash on Friday (May 15). The mouth-watering contest - between two teams expected to challenge for honours - has had to be re-arranged due to the unexpected unavailability of the East of England Showground track as preparations are made for a major weekend event at the venue. Promoter Ged Rathbone has been made aware of a number of Tigers fans who arranged air travel and hotel reservations to this area with the expectation of seeing their team race at Alwalton. And, to make up for that disappointment, he will offer discounted entry to them when the meeting is re-staged. Rathbone said: "It is most unfortunate that we have had to postpone the meeting against Glasgow. "It is an unforeseen situation and one which is completely out of our hands. "We are working hard with our landlords to secure a new date for this fixture and we will be offering discounted admission to any Glasgow fans who have been left out of pocket. "Anyone who produces proof of flight booking and/or hotel reservation in the area for the original date will be admitted for £10. -
FFS who woke him up.

They had little time after show this weekend to prep the track. Clearly some early concern as the ref and two captains walked the track just before parade with all other riders peering over the fence. Just needed a bit of extra grading to even it out. 1st tractor driver had no idea and track was immediately much better after he was ordered off and Swales took over. It was a tractical substitution. -

How do you know he wasn't ill? Do you know for a fact he wasn't or, as I suspect, are you just guessing? -

How many more times, Allen stays top of the averages for the whole of May, it doesn't matter what Robert does this month and whether he rode yesterday or not. It's more likely to be Ully who takes over number 1 spot anyway. -
Really? It has me stumped.
-
Don't think that is correct.
-
Or going with guests for the remainder of the season
-
Number 1's with that sort of average will ride good wherever anyway. And it doesn't matter on away tracks of course anyway.
-
Not ideal but can carry on picking horses for courses guests for another month if needs be, its working at the moment.
-
Look what happened last year when too many changes were made at once. Team is winning, keep changes to a minimum.
-
I see on May averages Allen is still number 1 not Robert. Schlein still has EL average over 6. Don't like that at all. Not strong enough and will upset balance of the team who is now working well.

I'd be interested to know why Rob Lambert is missing all three meetings this weekend when it should only be one looking at Kings Lynn fixtures? http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2448.2
