  3. PETERBOROUGH are rewarding their most loyal supporters with a terrific deal for 2017. The T Balfe Construction Panthers have frozen season-ticket prices for existing holders. That means an adult can renew for £300 while the concession rate remains at £200 even though there is more racing in prospect next year. It is a generous gesture from promoter Ged Rathbone and a token of his appreciation for the super support the club received during a difficult 2016 campaign. We had record number of season-ticket holders last season, said Rathbone. And their backing is hugely important to us. I dont want to go over old ground, but we all know the 2016 season didnt turn out as we all hoped it would. Therefore I felt it only right to give our fans with season tickets a little something back and by freezing their renewal rates for 2017 they will get more speedway for the same price. The season-ticket package for 2017 includes entry to a guaranteed minimum of 20 meetings. A programme (worth £3) and car parking (worth £1) is also included for every meeting whereas any prestige fixtures such as semi-finals or finals will be offered at a discounted rate. And season tickets are now on general sale to new customers ahead of next term. The purchase price has been set at £330 for adults, £220 for students and £75 for juniors (thats children aged between 10 and 16). Kids under the age of 10 will again receive free admission to all Panthers fixtures in 2017 when accompanied by an adult, who is either a season-ticket holder or paying on the turnstile. Rathbone added: We feel the season tickets represent outstanding value again. They proved to be extremely popular last winter and were hopeful that will be the case again given we will have so much more racing next year. Season tickets are now on sale and will remain available until January 31. Applications can be made by clicking here http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/ticketoffice
  4. Why isn't it being promoted better? Nothing on the website, nothing on twitter. The email I recieved contains minimal info, doesn't even explain what you get for your money.

  6. It was you that brought up the subject of Tai. Are you seriously suggesting that Wolves have less credibility then Poole?
  7. Conveniently forgetting about Antonio Lindback
  8. Looks like the first action will be on Wednesday 15th March. Not sure if this p&p or first match of the season though.
  9. They obviously don't have full confidence with him as they wouldn't have brought in Allitt and Attwood. Attwood was very unpopular I understand.
  10. Fair enough. He seems popular with the riders and wasn't he asked back last year to avoid a rider revolt? Not me? I like Carl.
  11. SGP website saying Melbourne Friday 1st December 2017?? Seen date of 28th October mentioned elsewhere http://www.speedwaygp.com/_mobile/event/2017-melbourne
  12. Early bird discount ticket deadline extended - now ends 23:59 on Monday 7th November.
  13. Is this the most contradictory post ever?
  14. Reading V Peterborough then Peterborough V Reading Grand Final 2006. Still can't believe Lynch put Greg on 3 in heat 15
  15. They ask fans where they want rounds but then end up at the same old places. No doubt it'll be Togliatti & Torun again this year. For all the talk of more favourable terms then BSI there's hardly tracks chomping at the bit it seems.
  16. SUNDAY SERVICE Thursday October 13, 2016 PETERBOROUGH can announce they will race home meeting almost exclusively on Sundays during the 2017 season. 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers promoter Ged Rathbone has revealed the popular 5pm slot will be used whenever possible. Rathbone said: "We'll be racing on Sundays as often as we possibly can. "Crowd figures during the past couple of seasons tell us that is the popular slot with supporters - and I also feel we attract more away fans on Sundays than when racing in the evening. "The traditional Friday-night slot just doesn't seem to have worked for us." And Rathbone is also hopeful of securing a more consistent fixture list in 2017 after holding talks with the club's East of England Showground landlords. He added: "There is such a busy schedule of events at the Showground and we appreciate it can often be difficult for them to accommodate us. "But we've had some very positives discussions regarding dates for 2017 and it looks like we'll be able to race much more regularly in the past couple of seasons. "We have at least two home meetings pencilled in for all except one month as things stand." Rathbone will also be seeking permission from the British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA) to change the club's back-up racenight from a Tuesday to another night.
  17. I want to be in whatever league Poole aren't in.
