I'll dine out on that for the rest of my life. Special mention to the contribution of Jim Lynch and his tactics.

Ah yes, but then we'll have Swindon Premiership star BWD at reserve. Or not.

OWNER Ged Rathbone is ready to reward his most loyal supporters with heavily discounted entry for the biggest Peterborough meeting of the season. The 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers take on Glasgow in the first leg of an SGB Championship KO Cup semi-final on Sunday at the East of England Arena (5pm). And the club's army of season-ticket holders will be able to watch the mouth-watering showdown against the Tigers for just £10. "Our number of season-ticket holders has gone up year-on-year and I'm very grateful to those fans for their fabulous support," said Rathbone. "I feel it is only eight to reward their loyal backing by giving them the opportunity to see our biggest and most important meeting of the season at a reduced rate. "They fully deserve it and this is my way of saying a big thank-you to each person who has a season ticket. "Hopefully they will all turn out on Sunday. We desperately want to win another trophy and we need everyone behind us on a big day for the club." That fantastic £10 entry offer is also open to supporters able to produce admission tickets from the club's final three SGB Championship home meetings of the season. They are a September 26 victory over Scunthorpe, the October 6 triumph against Workington and a date against Edinburgh at the East of England Arena this Friday (October 13, 7.30pm). "Once again my thanks goes out to the fans who have turned out to get behind the boys at a stage of the season when we have only really been racing for pride in the league," added Rathbone. "We made no secret of the fact that we wanted to challenge for a play-off spot this year, but that didn't materialise due to a number of factors. "The season could easily have faded out, but the boys have been in tremendous form of late as we attempt to finish as high as we possibly can in the table. "Fifth place is now within reach if we can beat Edinburgh and that's the aim before we turn our attention to winning another piece of silverware in the KO Cup. "If we can do that, then 2017 will go down as one of the club's best seasons." The second leg of the semi-final has been confirmed for Tuesday (October 17) at Peugeot Ashfield Stadium. And some elastic which stretches the width of the track without breaking. Oh and some air bags that inflate, preferably within half an hour.

PETERBOROUGH will face holders Glasgow in the semi-finals of the SGB Championship KO Cup. The Scottish side set up a mouth-watering showdown by beating Newcastle 92-88 on aggregate at the quarter-final stage. The 'T Balfe Construction' Panthers have home advantage in the first leg which takes place at the East of England Arena this Sunday (October 15, 5pm). The return clash is likely to be held on Tuesday at Peugeot Ashfield Stadium as the two sets of big cats do battle for the right to face either league champions Sheffield or Grand Final runners-up Ipswich in the showpiece. Peterborough owner Ged Rathbone said: "We've already proved we can beat Glasgow home and away - and that will be the target again as we aim to reach the final. "It's will be a massive occasion on Sunday. We need all fans - past and present - to turn out in force and roar the boys on. "We're going to forget about the politics and focus on the job of trying to pick up another piece of silverware." Peterborough could also be in home action on Friday (October 13, 7.30pm). They hope to host Edinburgh that night in their one remaining SGB Championship fixture when a victory could boost their hopes of snatching fifth place in the standings. And it could prove to be a particularly busy weekend for top duo Jack Holder and Chris Harris as they also represent the club in the rearranged SGB Championship Riders' Individual at Glasgow on Saturday (October 14). http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3228 -

I can't wait to see the fine Chapman gets then for his multiple infringements of team selection rules.

And what about the fans? How exactly have we benefited in this sorry saga? We've been expected to turn up and watch when our number 1 has decided he'd rather be elsewhere & now face the very real risk of losing our club. Holder has secured his Torun team place, Ged has the money - and what have we got?
-
Dear god no thank you. Saying that, like Paulco, I have a feeling we might be returning to the top league & if so Holder could well feature - it would explain a few things.

Absolute nonsense. Proctor was rightfully excluded. I don't think he was too pleased with Cook blatantly turning left on him coming out of bend 4. -
