Who Finishes Where 2018
Noodles replied to phillipsr's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
This probably belongs in the betting section but this thread seems more active. What would people choose at these odds please? -
You can add Rick Frost to that list.
-
I'm not sure what you mean, is what easy?
-
Thanks for this. Just read up & HD will be available for Sky & Freesat customers from May 18. There's a question mark if HD will be made available to Freeview (and therefore BT/Plusnet/Talk Talk) due to costs.

2018 Celebration of Speedway
Noodles replied to Dave Stummings's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Yep agree. It'll be the same old same old from all the previous years - which used to be free, then donation, then £5 last year & now £10 this year. -
It's likely to be on both as it's the same company, however Freesports is only SD, you'll need Premier Sports of you want HD.

Getting fat?

Yep, on Freesports https://www.freesports.tv - click on 'our content' & scroll down to motorsport

The Ben Fund Bonanza organisers are hoping that the fans will be involved to a greater extent than ever before in the tenth Bonanza (Peterborough 18th March, 2pm), without it costing them an excessive amount. There will be a Pre Meeting Track Walk with one of the Meeting Riders who will talk to you about Track Preparation, Racing Lines, and what they look for during the pre meeting track walk. The cost of being on that walk will be £10 per person. The souvenir programme will contain a “fence” on one page for which fans will be able to buy a "brick" for £10. Each fictitious "brick" will bear the name of the purchaser in the programme. For these opportunities please email -email- Please reference either Track Walk or FenceFor those with a little bit more money and who are feeling generous there are of course the usual higher levels of backing which can be offered to this great cause. Full meeting sponsorships are available at £2,000 and there are also packages for general sponsorship at £300, rider sponsorship also £300, heats at £150 and programme advertising at £100.For full details check the SRBF.CO.UK website or contact Stephanie Babb on 07901 976912. You can also email -email-to get involved.Riders announced so far: Kenneth Bjerre, Hans Andersen, Bjarne Pedersen and Niels Kristian Iversen (Denmark), Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls, Ben Barker, Danny King and Steve Worrall (UK), Jason Doyle and Nick Morris (Australia). http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3294

Plusnet TV - all BT sports channels for just £5 a month on 30 day rolling contract. You get BT Sport 1, Freesports and Eurosport 1 & 2 as standard. If you want HD it's £3 extra a month.

It amazes me people pay these prices for so long. Shop around & you can get your speedway fix legitimately for very reasonable prices.

Not relevant. The 9 'protected characteristics' in law you refer to are - age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion/belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage/civil partnership and pregnancy/maternity.

Thanks for joining in but I think you've missed the point. Good effort though.

It might be a rule, but that doesn't stop it from being found illegal if challenged.

Cheers

Is it individual averages that get rounded up/down or the team total?
-
So the major news that was to be announced last night on the BSPA website turned up this morning on the Panthers website. Is someone from Kings Lynn in charge of the rider announcements?
-
It's Doyle. Confirmed on Panthers website http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3290

Line up so far Kenneth Bjerre, Hans Andersen, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Ben Barker, Danny King, Bjarne Pedersen, Niels Kristian Iversen, Nick Morris

We'd have been screwed then if we'd have had a proper fixture list then.
-
That article is a mess. You'd think Plummer wouldn't get ice hockey & speedway mixed up.
-
And the second of those clashes with the football world cup final (15th July). The MCN Festival are advertising speedway on Saturday night 19th May - but fixture list showing home match on Friday 18th May.

Brings back some happy memories of when I was a kid supporting Oxford "speedway star, speedway mail"
